2006 honda cbf 250 wiring diagram needed... or need to know what wires are what out of the cdi/ecu, I have tried everything and cannot find anything... engine has been put into gokart and need to rewire...

from ignition switch red wire supplies power from the battery to the ignition switch, black wires are live when the switch is on but have nothing to do with the cdi The cdi is supplied by the generator on your engine.Green wires from switch are all earthing wires.The black and white wire coming from the switch is the wire that puts the cdi to earth to disable the ignition in the off position .

PLUG COIL LEAD CDI ONE IS AT FAULT

I have no spark at spark plug I have checked all wiring and seems ok what are the other things to check and how???

1. The on/off button on the right switch housing could be off. Turn it on
2. The on/off button could be faulty.Take apart and use test light to see if the switch is working by turning it on and off and see if power crosses the connection with the switch on
3. The ignition switch could be faulty. Test with test light to see if your getting power to you coil
4. The stator provides the power. Use Ohm meter, black to ground(green), and red to white wire, then red to yellow wire. the reading should be the same for the white and yellow wire. example: 288 and 288
5. The signal generator/pulse pick-up, send the signal to the cdi. Use ohm meter , black to one end of the wire and red to the other end of the wire, should read 000. if anything else the wire is broke.
This wire is usually black with a red stripe or red with a black stripe.
6. The cdi sends signal to the coil, to fire on time and advance and retards the fire as the motor revs and decelerates. Can be tested but not fixed, must buy a used or new one.
7. The coil provides the spark. Easiest to put a working coil on and see if it fires, if it does, then your coil is bad and just needs replaced.
8. Make sure if its on the kickstand that it is in neutral. Its a safety switch.
9.Make sure you have a good battery.Most local auto parts stores load test them for free

I have a 1987 rm 125 h need help on the wiring out of the magneto to the cdi box i dont have a plug on the mags wires the colors are black with a red stripe, green ,red , and re with white stripe the cdi...

Hmm, something has been changed at some stage.
All wires should be of same colour combo's.

Best guess is three wires from cdi go directly to magneto, whilst the fourth is for the coil. However your configuration suggest a different cdi unit is being used, the site below has a diagram of your bikes standard electrics, unfortunately not color coded.

Normally, it cannot be wired incorrectly as male/female and color wires determine correct connections. Find out the origins of the parts and seek the application for the color of each wire, ie: color wire for primary source, pulse coil, earth, etc. Transfer this info to the colors from your magneto, Goodluck and cheers.

How do i wire a honda nsr125 to the coil and what do i need

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Would depend to which coil:
  • ignition coil - green to ground & black/yellow to CDI;
  • pulser coil - blue & green/white to CDI;
  • exciter coil - black/red to CDI;
  • stator coils - 3 X yellow to rectifier/regulator combo.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Have no spark. Changed coil & CDI box so far. still no spark. Is it the internal coil? 1989 enticer 400T/R

Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Initially, suggested checks on the wires:
  • black of igniter unit tied to ground;
  • orange wire from igniter to ignition coil with pulsating voltage when starting;
  • gray wire from igniter to ignition coil with pulsating voltage when starting;
  • IGN + 12 on red/white wire to igniter and ignition coils from engine stop switch;
  • IGN + 12 on red/white wire to engine stop switch coming from 10Amp ignition fuse;
  • pulsating low voltage from pickup coil between the wires black/white, white/green & yellow/red.
Postback results of above voltage tests.
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa. Happy Holidays.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

On Asian versions of an 84 Honda XR200R, the CDI unit has six wires:
  • blue/yellow - pulse generator
  • black - to ignition coil
  • black/white - engine stop switch;
  • green - ground;
  • green/white - pulse generator
  • black/red - exciter/charging coil at stator.

The ignition coil has 2 wires:
  • green - ground;
  • black - to CDI

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Hi,I've a 98 Fireblade and can't get a spark

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

To my understanding, there are only 2 wires from the ignition pulse generator:
  • yellow - pulsating 0.5 VAC when cranking; and
  • white/yellow - ground.
A couple more of initial checks:
  • IGN +12 on the black/white wires of the ignition coils;
  • IGN +12  on the 3 wires of the engine stop relay other than the red/orange;
  • 0 volts on the red/orange (red/white) wire from the BAS (bank angle sensor).
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYA.

Honda 1992 XR600 miss firing

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially if electrical, disconnect the black/white wire from the engine stop switch, try and observe if problem persists:
  • if yes, then a loose / dirty / faulty engine stop switch;
  • if not check:
  1. 2 connectors to CDI;
  2. connector from pulse generator (black/yellow - blue/white & green/white wires);
  3. black/red wire from exciter coil;
  4. blue/yellow & green (to ground) wires on the ignition coil;
  5. sparkplug wire & cap.
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

No current to the cdi box,but the light comes on when i kick it over?

if theres no current to the cdi but the light works then its either the outer coil or the stator coil is bad and the lighting coil still works.
