Engine hunts on tickover
SOURCE: Revs ''hunt'' on tickover, sometimes revs drop so low car cuts out
Thanks to some advice I have fixed the problem with my Granada. The pipe work from the exhaust manifold to the inlet manifold has a short piece of plastic pipe which needed replacing. This seems to have done the trick.
I would like to thank you for running this site. Without it I would still be re-starting my car each time I stop at a red light!
SOURCE: engine hunts at tickover going down to 500 revs
This is most probaly a sticky trottle control whitch need to be replaced and then updated with new software.
Dealers are aware of this trouble, but most offen denies the fact if you ask.
