Heat w/torch, MAP gas or better (not propane, not hot enough) tap on drums w/hammer. also might be a jackscrew hole or holes in the drum, find bolts that fit and tighten them down, alternating with heat

Changing rear brakes on a 2003 ford Taurus, the new brakes came with this pin looking thing that i hook the spring to but i cant seem to get the pin on its to tight and wont go in, how do i get it on so...

This is a drum style brake. If this is the case what you are going to need is a pair of spring pliers, or drum brake tools. it makes the retaining springs and the hold down springs a lot easier to manage. and also helps with removing and replacing the longer springs. Your local parts store should have one and they go for any where from $12-$30 USD.

Cant get the rear brake drum off over the shoes

Behind the backing plate of the wheel look for the adjusting hole . It is at the bottom end and has a rubber plug in it. Remove plug and use a brake spoon of screw driver and turn little gear looking thing inside hole. This will pull brake shoe away from drum. It will turn for what seems a long time but just keep going until it stops. Then try to remove drum may have to use hammer. If not turn in other direction until it stops and try again to remove drum, with a hammer until it comes off

I need to change the break light on a nissan xterra 2003

I have never seen a car with a break light. Does it come on when the car breaks? See owners manual to change a stop light bulb that comes on when you step on the brakes.

I AM TRYING TO PULL THE REAR END OUT OFF MY

You dont have to pull the whole rear end out. remove rear wheel and remove the brake drums. theres 4 nuts on the back side of the brake backing plate which holds the axles in. once you get the 4 nuts loose you can pull the axle out (might need some force to pull out). You should be able to take the differential cover out to inspect the gears.

Cant fit drums over pads

You need to retract the brake shoes, via the center adjuster mechanism. As your old brake wore, the adjuster moved the shoes outward. Simply move the adjuster to retract the shoes, then slide the drum on. Then, readjust the rear shoes.

2004 Xterra Weird Sound

Appears you have a broken or sticking calliper. It is not releasing when you take your foot off the brake.
Remove the wheel in question, and check the springs. Lubricate with penetrating oil, and retry.
