I have a 2011 sportsman 850XP. when I plow, it kills the battery in a matter of minutes. The charging system doesn't seem to be able to keep up with battery use. Any suggestions? Anyone else havin

if this only occurs when plowwing have the electrical plow circuit actuators checked. if when load is applied ck amps. research specs,if under warrentty no problem old and overheated electricals are points to fail check your stator output, batteryand wiring. these checks are done under load conditions note any items getting overheated, could be the cause. get a larger cap, battery or stator with hi-output rating if possible. meanwhile take it easy on the plow.

Get a plastic boat battery box and mount a car battery on your rack. This will offer ample amounts of power when plowing and can be trickle charged in the garage when the ATV is not in use.
