Intek engines have fuel pumps driven off crankcase pressure. fuel is probably leaking from pump into valve cover into crankcase. check to see if some fuel is spurting out of the pumps vent hole as after it's running awhile it'll start sputtering out of the whole. If it's sputtering out of hole it's sputtering into your crankcase.

What fuel do I put into a Vantage 3.5 Tecumseh lawn mower?

If it has a place to add oil to the crank case, either a dip stick, or a filler opening at the bottom of the engine, then you just use regular gas. Be sure to verify that there is oil in the crank case before running it this way.

Where do i add engine oil to the motor? Not the oil for gas

I think you are saying that this is a 2-cycle motor (like most gas trimmers), that you already use a gas/oil mix, and you want to know how to add oil to the motor crank-case. If this is your question, then the answer is that you don't add oil to the motor. There is no place to add it. Unlike a 4 cycle engine (like in a car or most lawn mowers), the oil/gas mix is fed through the crankcase and is used to lubricate the engine, then is also used as fuel. good luck, Al K

I have a 22" murray lawn mower 3.75. Can you give me the ratio of oil/gqas mixture to use ? Please advise on best type and grade of oil to use.

my 22" murry has a four cycle engine. and you dont mix gas and oil for a four cycle engine. put gas in the gas tank and oil in the crank case.

Possible seal failure

Gearbox oil may be getting into the crank area. Check the oil in the crank, is it motor oil or two stroke oil? If it is motor oil then you will need to split the center case and clean/re-seal the case halves. Be sure to install new crank seals. New crank bearings? If 2 stroke oil, just put a cup of gas in the crank to thin the oil, rotate the crank a few times to mix gas and oil, then just tip the bike over to dump the mix out of the case. If the bike has an oil pump, see if you can lessen the stroke of the pump. If mixing 2 stroke oil in the gas tank, Be sure to use only 2 stroke engine oil at 32 to 1 ratio. That equals 4 ounces of oil to a gallon of gas.

What would cause too much oil in the crank case

you put too much oil in it
or the float in the carb is stuck open and it is really gas leaking by the piston rings and mixing with the oil in the crank case
smell the oil if it is gas in there dont try to start it until the carb is repaired and the oil changed
this could turn into a big problem if it ignites in the crank case
good luck

Do four cicle engines need oil fuel misture

Hi. no oil is needed except in the oil tank. there is a separate oil fill point that you can use for the crank case oil section. no need to mix with fuel on the 4 cycle motor. Oil and gas are separate in this situation.
