Question about 2006 Aprilia RS 125
Just purchased a second hand aprilia
Took the bike for a couple runs and everything was fine
because im new to riding I kept stalling it so I assume by pressing the starter button it would have drained the battery
next day the bike starts then dies.. i assumed it was the battery
now it just doesnt start. I have charged the battery, reset the clock and checked the battery voltage (it is @ 11.5, which is between 10 and 12 as per the manual) it makes this turning over sound but still doesnt start.
Hi .... Try switching the petrol off just prior to stopping the engine and start up again with the petrol OFF. There's enough petrol in the carb to start the bike. A good battery should show over 12 volts. Take the plugs out and give them a good clean or replace them. Is there a petrul pump fitted ? A two stroke needs to be ridden quite hard to maintain efficeincy, higher revs etc ........ let us know how you get on ?
