Alternator or Regulator is bad. Pull the cover on the nosecone, and also see if any water, dirt, sludge, is in there. The gasket for the cover shrinks with age, and allows debris inside. This = Not good.
More than likely, though, the alternator has just seen the last of it's days, on the old girl.

Is the clutch cable adjusted correctly, you may need to adjust the cable so that the clutch is released more fully, there will be an adjuster on either end of the clutch cable - adjust it so that the cable is tighter - but there should be a little bit of play left in the clutch -
if this does not cure the problem you could have some gearbox damage,
The bike is still under warranty so take it to a harley dealers and have them look at it.
SOURCE: How to remove battery cover of 08 Dyna Super Glide
There are two bolts to the left of the battery cover one holds the bracket the other lowers the battery
D08 means over-voltage. Your bike is over charging and will cook your battery. You regulator will have to be checked as well as your stator. If you have to drive to a dealership, keep your revs down as low as possible, at least not above 2000 revs. Do not drive more than a few miles or battery may get damaged. The letters simply mean set. So you have D08SEt which means D08 set.
