2001 ford explorer sport trac 4.0 L V6 CYLINDER
IT HAVE TIMING CHAIN ,HOWEVER THE MIDDLE CHAIN WAS BRAKE AND THEN REPLACE ,AND CAN'T GET BACK THE TIMING
If you removed the distibutor you need to pull #1 spark plug and turn the motor over by hand till you reach TDC or top dead center. Put your finger over the spark plug hole and have someone turn the crank until you feel pressure then check your timing marks in conjunction with the timing tab on the harmonic balancer and the timing chain cover. Line them up, turn the rotor on the distibutor to where the #1 plug wire point is at on the cap and drop it back in you should be close or on. This is if when you replaced the timing chain and gears you installed them properlly with the marks on the gears lined up.
