Changed out the headlight bulb in my 2004 honda shadow aero 750 but it still does not work. inside there is a blue wire (looks like a fuse wire white plastic) but no fuse inside. just a connection of some sort. when I move it around the bulb goes on and off. how can I fix this problem?

SOURCE: changing headlight

Had a similar problem on mine when I installed the cobra light bar. If you remove the headlight from the housing there is a connector (think it was orange) with a single wire. It is the starter-light cutout. my connector shorted out so I had to cut it and replace it. No headlight problems since. It is worth checking, I had to pay $50 to have the Honda shop find it. Good luck & ride safe!

SOURCE: Headlight Problem

Try checking the headlight fuse. I believe your fuse box is either under your seat, or under the right side cover near the exhaust.

SOURCE: how to change rear tire on 2004 750 honda shadow

You do not have to remove the final drive , the wheel is resting on a spline shaft. Center stand the motorcycle or lift the rear wheel, remove the axle bolt, knock out the spacer, and slide the brake panel out of the way. Now the wheel is resting only on a splined shaft. Grab the wheel and gently slide it away from the final drive ( off the splined shaft ) and roll it out the back of the wheel well. When replacing the wheel be sure to get some MOLY60 paste from the Honda dealer and grease the spline before putting the wheel back on.

Try cleaning the two position switch. It's called the starter button. You push it in halfway and the headlight turns off to allow for more juice to go to the starter. Push it in all the way and it activates the starter solenoid. It is probably either dirty or broken.
