It's an internal transmission problem. A bent or worn gear shifting fork, or the gear dogs are battered. On the other hand it could be worn clutch teeth sliding, a worn clutch cable or the plates are sticky. Check the clutch plates and adjustments on linkage.

Most of the safety systems use a diode pack in the loom to stop clutch and side stand switch etc from back feeding each other. Maybe this has failed. If not could it be in the loom, a broken or shorted wire. Look for a tight bend in the route the loom runs and external damage to the tape.

Will not start 2005 Suzuki RMZ 450

Sounds like a timing issue or simply bD spark plugs. Do a spark check and see if you have a kice blue arc on the plugs. Also I've seen the flywheel key break on those before. That situation will greatly affect the timing Nd cause back firing also check your valve clearance.

Dirt bike How do I adjust the rear Brakes on my 2006 RMZ 250f. They barely work but the pads look pretty new?

There is a tensioner on the brake cable on the end by the wheel and at the top by the lever. If, you have not done this before start with minor adjustments till you find what works! may need new cable to fix and adjust!

Gearbox missing neutral

You want a solution, but this is all the information you can supply?

Did you just buy this bike?

If it's one of my old bikes, you will have a lot of trouble finding neutral as I modify the shift spool detents to make neutral extremely hard to find. This mod is done for racing. BUT - I don't race Suzukis, so this is not my old bike. It is possible that someone else has removed neutral from the shifting spool detents though - it used to be a pretty common modification for racers.

Without having more history, I don't want to waste any time speculating on any other solution. I would like to know if this is a new bike to you or at least a little more info on the problem and some history of the bike. Put in a little effort.

I would fix the clutch first and see if this improves things.
If it creeps this is why it wont select neutral.
The clutch basket can wear out as well as the clutch plates

The neutral switch is wired from gearbox selector barrel, internally.
Clutch normally binds when left unused even for a week for some bikes. Oil choice can help but not markedly.
Top and bottom clutch cable is adjustment for free play (top) and amount of take-up and return (bottom).
The wire or cable (if electrical) is to ensure bike cannot be STARTED in gear with clutch engaged.
Issues maybe arising from gummed carby's, some carby cleaner flush should sort it out. Check also inlet manifold has not cracked or split.
Cheers.

2006 yamaha yz 250f starting problems

You may be having trouble with a sticking intake valve. Remove the valve cover and spray some WD-40 onto the valve and spring. Try to operate the valve with your fingers to work it loose. Once the engine starts running, it should improve. You may need to change the oil. Good luck.

TROUBLE CODES PO301 & PO306 HAVE ALREADY

P0301 = Cyl no 1
P0306 = Cyl no 6

If you have changed plugs and leads and confident that they are now ok you need to run a compression check on all the cylinders, I'd emagine they should all be running at approximately 150psi per bore, if 1 & 6 are down it could be the head gasket, timing or piston rings.

1986 yz125

basically that problem comes from "banging" gears. that bike is 23 years old.its likely the shifting forks are bent to the point of just getting it into 2nd. only fix is to replace them. if they havent been replaced since the bike was new, its outstanding its only starting now. beware, if not replaced soon, its possible you may end up losing your 2nd gear. hope this helps..
