Question about 2001 Honda CBR 929 RR Fireblade
I have 2001 honda cbr929 RR it got a bad miss an a strong sent of gas wen i rev it up comeing from the muffel
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Offhand, the miss and the raw fuel smell indicates that at least on of the plugs is not firing (no spark). Additionally, this tells us that this is not a fuel injection problem but an ignition one. To determine which cylinder is not firing, after a cold start, immediately check which of the exhaust tubes is not heating up. That is already an indicator that the plug of that cylinder is not firing. If only 1 out of the 4 is not firing, then most likely it is a plug issue requiring replacement. If it is 2 (say 1 &4 or 2 & 3), then it is an ignition coil (likely) or even a computer concern (least likely). Although often problems are wiring related such as a detached/loose connector (most likely). In some instances, it could be a pulse/trigger problem (remote possibility).
The best course of action would be to check the above mentioned parts. It would also be to your advantage to replace all of the plugs.
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.
