I have a 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit 750. in the air filter compartment there is a small hole in the upper left and there seems to be gas coming out when it is running. I think it is a breather hole but not sure if there is suppose to anything coming out of it. thanks

If you have fire, but are the sparkplugs getting wet when you are tunning it over???? Do you have a manual choke???? Is it working??? Is the air filter clean????

Have you tried to adjust the tickover screw on the carbs?

This sounds to me like a carb float being stuck open. Turn off the gas and drain the offending carb(s). Next, turn the gas back on and sharply tap the float bowl with the plastic handle of a screwdriver as the fuel bowl refills. The goal here is to vibrate the float to free it up. If doing this process a couple of times does not free the float I would remove the carb(s) and clean with a spray carb cleaner. Clean the air filter then re-mount carb(s). Next Remove the water trap bowl at the bottom of the petcock, (gas valve). Dump it, clean it and re-mount it, ( not all bikes have a water trap bowl ). Install an inline fuel filter.
THis should solve the problem.

SOURCE: will 2003 Honda shadow 750 spirit pipes fit a 2002
yes but you may have to get a small section of flat iron (any metal) and use it as a mobile mount for the rear of the pipes. the pipes will fit the block though.

It is different then most other carbs. DON"T DRILL ANY BRASS HEADS LOOKING FOR THE AIR FUEL MIXTURE. The air fuel mixture is the only adjustment you can make. It is located on the bottom side of the air intake, right behind the air filter box. It looks like a 1/4" flat metal plug. Do NOT drill this. There is no slot for a screw driver. There is a tool which is no more then a small piece of pipe that fits over this plug and you turn it in till seated, gently. Count the turns. Back out to 2 and a half turns, thats normal. Or if you no that you need more fuel injected, simply turn the screw OUT 1/4 or 1/2 turn and try it. GOOD LUCK (Its not hard)
There is no drilling to be done. Hope i didnt scew something up on mine......
