1999 model xlr 125 battary is not charging.Head light power is not enought.battary is replaced recently.

Hello, You have to fix your charging device ( alternator). Replace the battery each time it get weak will fool you. Usually the weak parts in alternator are : carbon brush and rectifier. So you need special attention on these parts. I'll to side with you if you able to fix it yourself. But if you're is not so confident, kindly has it fixed in shop.

What kind of oil should i use for a 1999 honda cbr 600 f4

10w-40SJ Honda Motorcycle oil only.
Would appreciate a rating thanks! Change your oil more frequently if you ride the bike hard or especially if you ride the track like i do...i change my oil before and after a race!! and i"ve put 30k "extremely" hard miles on this engine and still performs well for a bike with 50k on the odometer! my bike is the very first 87 CBRF1 Hurricane.. i also have an 88 with only 16k on the odometer! Hondas are bullet proof, but the oil is the Key because everytime you miss-shift and grind a gear the same gear oil is used to lube the top half of the engine.

Oil how much oil do i need to put in when i change it and what other thing do i need to change and if u could tell me what kind of oil is recomended for thet bike thank you

Clean or replace the oil filter screen shown below. Use 10w40 motor oil. NEVER use synthetics or oils with "Special" additives. Technically, the oil quantity is .95 US quarts. Just put in the whole quart can and you will be fine. Please rate my answer. Thanks

Do not get the ones with "Special" additives. NEVER use synthetics. Some of the additives and most of the synthetics will swell the cork on the clutch friction plates. Then the clutch will not disengage and now it is time for new friction plates. Use 10w40 motor oil and you are doing good.

If not using an automatic oil pump, then mix the gas and oil 32 to 1. That equals 4 ounces of TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL to one gallon of gas. NEVER use motor oil in the gas. Only two stroke engine oil. Please rate my answer, thanks.

Lubrucating Oil

Use 10w40 oil in the bike. Do not use synthetic oils or oils with "special" additives. The fancy oils often swell the friction plates in the clutch then you need a new set of clutch plates.

Could you take a moment and rate my answer? Thanks!

Changing fluids

hello
the reccomended oil from honda is their GN4. this is a motorcycle blend 10w40. so other 10w40 motorcycle blend oils will work as well. i would stick with hondas oil. but other companies like bel-ray are a good alternative as well.
with an oil and filter change you are looking at approx. 2 us quarts of oil. manual states 2.06 quarts. so may take either a touch more or a touch less.
hope this is helpful. thank you.

Led indicators honda xlr 125 "NOT FLASHIN AT RIGHT SPEED "

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

The reason that the flashing speed of LED indicators are faster/different from the standard bulbs is because the original flasher were designed for the current flow of bulb types. A LED type indicator offers very low resistance and consumer very little current hence the original flasher fails to operated correctly.

Your idea of changing the flasher relay is correct. Electronic/LED flashers are available here, here and/or here.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
