It is not recommended to change the bolt pattern on a Raptor 660. The bolts are designed to fit the frame and any alterations could weaken the frame and cause damage. If you are looking to change the bolt pattern, you should consult a professional mechanic or experienced fabricator who is familiar with the Raptor 660.
Are you saying the starter does nothing when the key is turned, or the starter turns but does not engage the engine/flywheel? If the former, you say you cleaned the battery cables, but did you clean both ends of the negative cable, especially where it attaches to the engine/frame. Try this, use just the negative jumper cable, connect it to the negative battery post and connect the other end to the engine at a good, solid location. Now try to start. If the starter turns now, you have a bad negative cable or ground connection.
One end on the negative (-) terminal on the battery. The other end of that cable is usually bolted to the car bodywork somewhere near the battery. The length of the original wire should give you an idea where. A lot of companies use the upper suspension mount area nearest the battery.
I'm not clear on what you are referring to. This is on a lawn tractor- correct? And there is a poor ground connection on the negative battery cable to the frame? Also, I'm not clear what you mean by " to make any noise". DO you mean to start the tractor? If this is the case- make sure the battery cables and the battery posts are clean- very clean. Clean the frame where the negative cable attaches, and clean the cable end. All connections need to be clean - no rust or corrosion. The negative cable can be attached to the frame at any point, so the cable can be moved by drilling a new hole in the frame, but usually this is not necessary if the original hole is cleaned of rust. need your carb rebuilt or your carb readjusted. sounds like you might have some mud in it. do you take it in the mud? if so check the top where the throttle cable comes through.
Get a voltmeter or test light. Open the fuse panel in the engine compartment and see if you have voltage there. Check the main fuse. Look closely at the battery connection to see if one of the accessory power wires came off. Lastly, check to make sure you have a good ground connection on the engine and frame and that you have continuity to the negative battery post.
