What is thecross reference for a set of fork that will fit 2000 vmax

Just get yours rebuilt. It is cheaper and more effective than trying ot find something that is the same diameter, length and spring rate. Besides, Vmax's don't go round corners anyway (LOL) If you get yours rebuilt, you can get them set up so the bike will handle better. I hope this helped.

I'm replacing the front stock shocks with works dual rates do I need to replace the bearing and sleeves or will the stock bearings and sleeve work? The used works came with no hardware

The steering stem bearings and mounts should be okay as is. Before you buy, be sure the new forks are the same diameter as the old forks. Also check the overall length of the forks. The length should be the same on both sets of forks.

We change the front tire ,and the forks are no the same there something wrong?

It could be a weak spring inside the shorter fork, or possibly the longer fork is not fully seated in the head stock assembly. Did you try to compress each fork to test for equal tension? Does the bike tend to drift to one side when ridden? Both forks may need to be completely dis-assembled to note any differences inside. Hope some of this helps!

Measure the diameter of the forks and the position of the yokes(clamps that hold the forks)Also fork length. If they are are the same, bolt them on.Best if you have the entire front end with wheels brakes etc as its less work to do.Different part no's is the springs and valves in the forks that are very slightly different.Hope this helps
