Question about 2005 Harley Davidson XL 1200 C Sportster Custom
Cool idea, that's a great looking tank. I am not positively sure but I don't think this is going to be a bolt on part with no mods to the tank. The easy part may be the mounting brackets. You can have them relocated by an experienced welder using your existing tank as a guide. The big problem may be in the fitting. It may be too long to fit between your steering head and your seat and/or it may sit too low and rest on your rocker covers (the tunnel looks pretty high). I'd bet it's going to be impossible for you to put your hands on a tank to see if it will fit but you may be able to measure one. Get the length from front to back, from frame to top (at the front) and from the top of the tunnel to the bottom of the tank. If it will fit on your frame all you may need to do is a little welding.
