K1100LT (P) only working intermitantly. Before i pull the whole thing apart, are there any common issues. Things to look for first..?

ISSUE such as mainboard or or the the ribbon cables that connect the mainboard to the panel and other components can lead to that problem

There are springs, ratchets and pawls inside. Pull it all the way out, and if it doesn't return, then the spring is broken. If it won't pull out, then the ratchet is broken. Take it apart and look. Easy to buy a new one, or get one from a breakers yard.

what was replaced?? to fix your issue??need more info. I have 04 max my self and very common issue is the low side ac line leaking. you need to look at the front of the ac compressor if the whole thing is spinning with ac on. if the whole clutch is not turning and the pulley ONLY is, than the ac is not turning on and it could be several things. anything from low charge, to low side pressre switch issue, or major leak somewhere.

The speaker itself has failed. Its a common fault. If its under warranty then they will replace the whole unit, or the speaker can be replaced by competent electronics engineer (i.e local tv repair technician). The speaker as a component is very cheap, and it is not a complicated repair for someone who is used to taking things apart.

I would guess it's the igniter. Pretty common intermittent issue.

It could be one of several things but could quite possibly be the start of your electric window breaking down or perhaps it just needs to be pulled apart and cleaned.

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

this is going to hurt, as the dash is all electrionic when it goes wrong you can only do two things...one ,is live with it, the other is a new dash module.or ecm.both are an arm and a leg.

painstaking work but there is really no diagram to remove what screws just alot of common sense just dont try to force things look closely befor removing start by seeing if back panel comes off as one piece sometimes helps to get to lid screws by laying dryer on its back

I had same issue-- I cleaned the whole thing and it seemed to be OK but especially in edger more it would not work. I kept fiddling with it and it would seem better, only to get worse...

What I did was take apart the lower unit-- there are something like 7 screws (be careful, I stripped one). Then you need to pry apart the plastic sides and pull out the little motor. I saw that from me continuously changing from edger to trimmer, the wiring became frayed. You'll notice there are two conatcts on top of the motor. In my case one was connected fine and the other was frayed. I went to Home Depot and bought some vynyl insulated 0.250" tab-female "Disconnect F" things (a pack of 10 cost 99 cents). I then stripped the wire and crimped it into this connecter thing and slid the female part over the contact. I squeezed as hard as I could in hopes of this repair lasting forever (crimping as well as "crimping" the femaale part over the contact).

Then put the motor back in. It first pulling the motor out seemed impossible, but it does fit; and I was able to get it back in.

It is as good as new now!
