I have a 2006 sebring- the starter won't engage when the engine is hot- no blown fuses or relay issues.

The starter was replaced about a year ago- it seems to only happen when the engine is hot- please help.

Does the starter maybe just click? Are all the connections to the starter and the battery clean and tight and free of any corrosion, check all these things first. If the starter does click you got a poor quality rebuilt and the starter solenoid is defective. DON'T USE SO CALLED DISCOUNT AUTO PART STORES REBUILT UNITS, THEY ARE JUNK.

Starter solenoid. I don't have the page here but in chiltons a page shows the ignition to fuse to relay to starter and if you look closely it's quite basic. I had same problem with constant fuse blow #8. The solenoid over time wears and sometimes sticks. When it sticks, your system can overload thus burn fuse. I bet you never stalled out while driving, but only when you shut off and start somewhere it's a no go. That's because you're system is already engaged. I had to change starter as solenoid part of it all. I see others suffer this same problem so please share this around. Solenoid can stick for a millisecond.

SOURCE: I have an '04 Sebring

This happens all too often on the Chryslers, the starter fuse blowing. The cause in most cases is the starter solenoid. I recommend replacing the starter and the solenoid when this happens, to keep from having to do it again a few months later, I hope this helps.

SOURCE: My engine in my 04 Sebring is running hot, andthe

Your A/C has it's own little radiator that sits right in front of your engine's water-filled radiator. Heat from your engine radiator is prolly transferring itself into the other smaller radiator and over-whelming it. When any engine is running hot, it usually turns out to be a bad themostat, bad temp-sensors (that run your electric cooling fans on the radiator (or one (or both) radiator fans have died). I would start with the thermostat since it's the cheapest....

Car no start problem is sometimes very difficult to confirm. You try all the possible things, but still you get no fault and problem is still the same.--------
In that case, you need to check few things individually.
Check the spark, the battery, the crank, the fuel and other most possible parts. Click this link below for more details:-- http://howtobyme.blogspot.com/2011/10/car-troubleshooting-tips.html

Blown fuse amp start fuel 8

Pls be more specific, doe's this fuse keep blowing or what? Fuse blows and your car won't start. I have a 2004 GTC and the #8 fuse kept blowing, had to replace the starter, (it was pulling 80amps instead or the normal 30-35) once the starter was replaced, no more starting issues and the fuse no longer blows. Hope this helps, good luck

2006 jeep wrangler automatic transmission drifts in park

I can't imagine how the drifting in park and the starter won't crank the engine could be related.
It is possible something happened to the flywheel and it is not now connected to the crankshaft, or the bendix gear on the starter is not engaging the flywheel.
But the transmission has a pawl or gear that locks the output shaft of the transmission when the shifter is in park. That gear could be damaged and would allow the truck to roll in park.
And the parking gear would not have anything to do with the starter issue.
I think I would check to see if the flywheel is connected to the crankshaft first.
Is the truck still under warranty ??

Replaced battery on my 2006 Ford Escape. Still won't start but everything else works

Figure by everything else you mean the radio, lights, etc? Is the engine turning over? What happens when the key is fully engaged? If the engine does not turn over the first place to look would be your fuses. Ensure that none look to be burnt or blown. If so replace and try again. If fuses look good Next step would be to ensure starter connection is good and starter is turning over.If the starter is not turning over then I would focus on it.Hope this helps.

I have a 2001 chrysler sebring the starter won't

sounds like your bendix on the starter spring load mechinism gear you will need to test it by removing your starter and hooking up a battery to it. You will see and hear the gear come out and turn...if it doesnt function properly then you will have to replace your starter.also may want to check the solinoid..

2006 Jeep Wrangler won't start

First, make sure you can turn the engine by hand. If you can't then the starter can't turn it either. Have someone else turn the key and look for the source of the click...may be a relay. Go over the starting circuit with a volt meter. Check for power at the starter main terminal and then with the key turned to "start" check for power at the trigger terminal on the starter. Check battery voltage and check relay operation.
You have a neutral safety switch on the transmission if its an automatic and a clutch switch if it's a stick. Check them as well. Make sure battery grounding on fender and block are also clean and secure.
