Hi! With modern fuels and oils there really shouldn't be any need to de-carbonise.(Unlees Mixture is incorrect?) If you are really concerned then try a quality fuel additive, read fully the directions for use and Bingo job's a good-un.
Fork oil change, is there a reason? are the forks weak? any seapage? if not leave well alone as you may open a Hornets Nest.
Telescopic forks/dampers use very light oil for suspension, too much will blow oil seals, so if you are determined to change the fluid then make sure the correct viscosity is used and critically the correct amount/quantity. Cleanliness is of the utmost!
Good Luck!

2003 diesel landcruiser manual after towing heavy load up hills I stopped engine and started upagain after 2 hrs she was blowing white smoke no loss of power and coolant level and oil the same towed same...

white exhaust smoke indicates usually unburn fuel, it can be either, problem with gunky injectors, wrong timing or problem with valves, non-sealing pistons or glaze on the cylinders

I am usually recommending in cases like that use of any decarboniser add to the fuel (removes glaze from cylinder and help therefore seal), and then use some injector cleaner.

in your case - you were using too high gear and hence the glazing on the cylinder - if you did not have these problem before.

for future references, I would suggest towing in that condition on all four drive, and forget about fifth gear...

add injector cleaner first, and at next re-fuel add decarboniser.

hope this will help you at least a bit - do not forget to vote...

Black smoke coming from tailpipe when i excelrate

HI,

First your silencer needs to be decarbonised.

Second the quality of gas may not be good.

If problem still exists get your air fiters/carborater cleaned up.

Hope your problem is solved.

Thanks

Tips to maintain at 40000 kms

At 4000kms you can opt to do a minor service the first thing is to dump the engine oil no matter how clean it looks you will have gunk in it change your oil filter as well. You can change the fork oil if you want but it is not needed unless it is orignal from 2005.Clean your tank out and change your fuel filter have a look at your plugs if thay have a lot of carbon change them thay are cheep. If you want to decarbon put in hot plugs and ride your bike for a good hour and then take them out do not leave them in have a look at the needle and seat in your carbi if the needle fits snug in the seat then they are fine don't forget your chain and sprockets if you can slide your chain back and forth while it is on your rear sprocket it will need replaceing have a look at the teeth make shore they are not missing or bent. I hope this help you out!
