Stay with the proper NGK spark plug. Bosch plugs take a real high energy ignition system to fire properly. A bosch plug may cause starting issues and poor performance.

Spits through carb and have to run 3/4 choke

This could be several problems causing this. First is this a 4 or 2 cycle? If it's a two cycle and you have not been running the blended gas with oil, then you've scorched your cylinder wall, and your compression can not be reached, so you need a lot of gas. If it's four cylinder then here's a list; timing is off, bad spark plug, bad ignition wire or ignition components that went bad. Bad gas, valves especially intake are not holding.

1. Check timing
2. Check compression
3. Observe spark plug, is it normal or black and does it have the correct gap. Plug the spark plug into ignition wire and ground the plug and try to start. Do you see spark?

there is more but this will get you started.

My kick starter just locked up

1). Confirm that the transmission is really in nuetral, or insure that the clutch is pulled in.

2). Have you tried removing the spark plug to insure that you do not have a hydraulic lock due to excess fuel in the cylinder? With spark plug removed, any excess fuel should be expelled out the open spark plug hole. CAUTION: INSURE THAT THE SPARK PLUG LEAD IS DISCONNECTED, AND HELD AWAY FROM THE OPEN CYLINDER TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL IGNITION OF EXCESS FUEL.

The bike has no spark going to the sparkplug. it has a kickstart and it also has a switch on the left hand side of the bikes handle bares. its also a thumpstars but i couldnt find it on the list.

i would check the coil packs a old school way to do that is to take the the spark plug wire off the spark plug put a screw driver in it with any thing but a metal handle in it and then touch the frame of the bike with the screw driver still in the spark plug wire and try to start it . if there is a spark the coil is good and to test the spark plug simply take the spark plug out the cylinder head connect it to the spark pug wire and trie to start it if see a spark comeing from the spark plug is also good

Went for a ride the other day my ktm 450 died couldnt get it too run brought it home checked valve clearances all ok cleaned carburettor out and jets all ok checked spark at plug all ok bike still wont...

the flat battery shouldnt cause the problem and you said it has spark at the plug, so that sort of eliminates electrical problems.
if the carb is clean and it has good fuel, its a bit tricky to diagnose.
perhaps a sheared flywheel key,
blocked fuel line( it might have a tiny filter in the tank on the ends of the fuel tap pick up tubes)
or short in the kill switch may let it spark sometimes)

Hey mate, i trying to change spark plugs and i am having problem removing it. Can you what is the easiest way of doing it.

No clearance??
Get a spark plug socket that has the hex shape on the outside of the top so you can put an open end wrench on the socket itself after you fit it onto the spark plug. There's no clearance for a ratchet, so try that.

What are the correct spark plugs for a 1991 fxsts harley?

The correct Harley-Davidson spark plug is the 5R6A. I prefer the NGK BPR5ES-11. Champion Copper Plus-RN12YC Autolite standard 4265 Autolite Platinum-AP4265DP2 Most any automotive parts house has a spark plug fitment book.

2004 Honda VTX1300. Won't fire. Thought it might be out of gas, put two gallons in it. Tried to start it with the choke open and closed. Kill switch is on. Any suggestions? Battery is good, lights,...

Have you checked the spark at the spark plugs?
How this is done is take a spare spark plug that is known to be good. Pull the spark plug boot off and install the spare plug in the boot and lay it on part of the engine to get a ground. Know try and start the bike and see if there is any spark coming from the spare plug. Do this to every plug and remember to put the cap back on the plug after you test that plug. If there is spark then that rule out ignition. Now check out the fuel delivery. You say you have a couple gallons of gas in the tank. That's good!
1st check the petcock and make sure that it is not plugged buy removing the fuel line and putting it on PRI setting. This means Priming the carbs or injectors with gas. If that is OK put the line back on and check the fuel filter witch should be under the gas tank and see if it is plugged. 2nd check the fuel pump to see if it is working. How to test this is remove the fuel line from the pump that goes to the carb or injector and turn the bike on but do not try to start. The pump should squirt gas out as you turn the key on. If it checks out OK then it has to be something with the carbs/injectors. Just got to try a process of aliamation. Just remember Air-Fuel-Spark=Bang. Hope this helps out. Please let me know how it works out.

My motorbike stopped when i was riding it and the wheel locked up. when i went to start it i couldnt kick it down. wats wrong with it and how much will it cost to fix

the engine is locked up..you can try and spray some lubrication in through the spark plug hole aand let it sit awhile..make sure your oil is full and the right oil...once it has locked up and you break it free, the chances it will lock up again are great

Bike keeps nosing over at 3/4 throttle

I used to have this same problem with my cr 125 until I went to a hotter spark plug. If the hotter spark plug doesnt work I would change your coil. These are the only 2 things that I can see going wrong, unless you have recently put performance parts on it then it could need to be rejetted.
