Question about 1984 Honda GL 400 Custom
I HAVE JUST BOUGHT THE BIKE AND NEED TO DO THE VALVES
I CANT EVEN GET A WORKSHOP MANUAL ON IT
I HAVE THE WORKSHOP MANUAL FOR THE GL 500
CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THE VALVE CLEARANCES ARE THE
SAME AND HOW MANY TURNS OUT FOR THE PILOT SCREW
KIND REGARDS LEWIS
The valve clearances are the same as the GL 500,as I recall they are in .002" - .004", ex .003" - .006". The pilot air technically needs to be adjusted with the motor running. You want to start at 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 turns out.
