SOURCE: hi i am changing the rear end of my 04 harley

Get a test light and stick the probe in the connector on the bike and clip the other end to a good ground. Turn on the key and run the turn signals, brake light and running light. Move the probe from hole to hole until you find the turn signal flash, the brake light and the running light. Obviously, the turn signals will flash, the brake light will go on and off when you hit the pedal, and the running light will stay on constantly. the three wires on the brake light are ground, brake and running light. Should be a simple matter to figure out which wires go where from here. If you are using digital lights, i.e. LED lights, the current only flows one way. As an example, if you hook up the turn signals and they don't work, reverse the wires.

SOURCE: I need the wiring order at the tail light socket

I don't have a schematic for a bike this new but usually Harley uses a red wire for the stop light and a green wire for the tail light.

It's easy to figure out. Turn on your ignition switch and depress the rear brake with a test light connected to the red wire. If the test light lights up, that the brake light, if not, try the green wire. One of them should light up when you depress the brake.

Once the wires plug into the plug at the tail light, they both turn to black wires. The turn signal wires are violet (left) and brown (right). Running lights are probably green as well.

This is just a best guess. Harley usually doesn't change much stuff from year to year but electrical wiring is one thing that does change.

Hope this helps. Good Luck.

SOURCE: rear turn /parking lights dont work ,turn signals

Check the ground wire.
Place a test wire from the engine case (pick a hidden place to connect.
the wire) to the rear end. Try the base of a light.

SOURCE: The left side turn signals on my 2006 street bob

Contact me directly and I'll send you some troubleshooting information. It's out of an older service manual but the information is still good. The wire colors may be a bit different however. 2010 Harley Davidson FLHX Street Glide left turn signal will not stop blinking

The left turn signal switch is more than likely the culprit. I have repaired these faults numerous times. Simply disconnect the wiring harness to the switch. If light stays off, switch is at fault.

The left side turn signals on my 2006 street bob stopped working. I changed the bulbs but still doesn't work. The front running light works, but won't flash when turn signal is turned on.

Left rear turn signal and brake light dont work

You have a broken wire to the turn/brake light portion of the light as they use the same wire. Or where the plug goes into the light assy could be bad. Torsion mount lights are horrible and you should think about replacing with a universal light that you can wire direct.

2001 Explorer Sport ,Rear Driver Brake Light and Turn Sig. Broke

Rear lights are double filament bulbs one side for the lights other side for the brake/turn signals so it still may be a bulb. Do u have a test light or volt meter you can check to make sure u have power there when brakes or turn signals are activated. Or just try another bulb.
