Coolant Leaking Hi Guys, I have an '05' WR450F which i havnt ridden for a fuew months, but start it up every couple of weeks to try and stop things from going wrong. i have noticed that if i start it up and let it idle, coolant starts running out of the radiator overflow pipe once it has warmed up. If you don't want to spend alot of money. You might try just pouring some kind of leak stop into the oil fill cap. And let it transfer through.

Hi guys. I have a VX commodore and recently has a problem starting when the car is warm or I've start/stopped a few times or more. Always starts first couple of times when still cold. Any ideas?

Could be a coolant temperature sensor making the ECU stay in phase lock loop which is an enrichment cycle like a choke on an early carbureted engine.

2005 Jaguar s-Type Couple of weeks ago red light came on to indicate engine coolant low. Went by Goodyear and they put in anti freeze. Yesterday and today, the red light and same message are coming on...

You are leaking fluid. Check to see that the hoses don't have residual fluid on them indicating a leak. Also check to see if your water pump isn't leaking out the seal. Another thing to check is the oil dip stick. Make sure the oil looks normal and not watery indicating a crack in the block. These are only a couple of things I would start with.

I have a model 604 - one day the pool pump stopped working i dont know if its the pool filter or just the pump itself (the pool filter is dirty as havnt changed it over for nearly 5 weeks) if i buy a new...

No it won't. I stay in South Africa and bought the pool about 3 months ago. The impeller broke and there are NO aftermarket parts available. Buy a new pool!!! The only way of getting the same pump. I have checked on some other sites and a lot of the guys use a normal pool pump after they have experienced the same problem.

My 99 cadillac deville ran hot about 8 months ago i took it to the dealer thay told me that i need a new engine and to drive it for a couple days and see what happen i have been driving it for eight months...

If you have no obvious external coolant leaks then the most likely culprits would be leaking head gaskets or warped heads. I would take the car to an engine rebuilding shop and get a second opinion to the dealer, not to say that they are wrong, but your engine may be salvageable at a cheaper cost and those guys would be better positioned to tell you that. Hope this helps.

Leaking battery

Yuasa batteries are expensive but with good reason. They are extremely high quality and follow the old adage 'you get what you pay for'.
Cheap batteries appear initial good 'value' but the extra investment will pay dividends long-term, if properly maintained, your Yuasa will last many years.

If you suspect the liquid is acid, neutralize it with some baking soda just to be sure. You don't want that dripping onto anything metal or pain, causing damage.
Once you have it neutralized, wash it out with water.

It sounds like you ride infrequently and bike may have periods of serveral weeks on occasion without being ridden.

My recommendation would be to install a quality replacement (like the OEM Yuasa) then purchase a battery maintainer that you can plug in while bike is not being used. Good maintainers are Optimate and Battery Tender. (I have both myself - I really like the Optimate 4.) Both of these come with a waterproof 'pigtail' harness that you can permanently connect to the battery - then when you put the bike away, you can simply connect up to it without having to remove anything.

Hope this is helpful.

Good Luck!!

2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee leaking coolant and power steering fluid

Just a heads up, $10 bucks will buy you a seal kit for the P.S. pump. I topped mine off for a couple months, then the oring on the high pressure line (from pump, front center) blew and dumped the reservoir in a matter of miles.

The line can be a stinker to get off, recommend driving the car for a few minutes to heat up the pump a little. Don't forget the 20MM wrench.

05 silverado running hot

Hi!
Look like you may have an air lock.
Put the car on level ground, start it from cold with the coolant filler cap off, have plenty of warm/hot water available.
Leave to idle watch the coolant filler area but NOT TOO CLOSE, when at operating temp it may appear to boil over loads of bubbles, gurgling and some steam, top the coolant system up with the warm water wait until things settle then replace cap you may have to do this a couple of times.
Remember your anti freeze?
Good luck!

2006 Aprilia RS125 doesnt start

Hi .... Try switching the petrol off just prior to stopping the engine and start up again with the petrol OFF. There's enough petrol in the carb to start the bike. A good battery should show over 12 volts. Take the plugs out and give them a good clean or replace them. Is there a petrul pump fitted ? A two stroke needs to be ridden quite hard to maintain efficeincy, higher revs etc ........ let us know how you get on ?
