Question about 1985 Honda XR 250 R
I'm about to buy a CBR 600, in very good chape, with only 18.000 kms.
The problem is that the bike has kept in a farm warehouse for 4 years. The worst thing is that somebody took the spark plug from one cylinder (4th Cyl,) and left the wole without any protection at all.
As the engine does not work for long, I'll change all the fluids and lubricants, but I' m realy concerned about the posisble damages in that cilynder - humidity, dirt, etc.
What you recomend to do? To put WD40 immediately is a good idea?
The honda cbr will only run on the 3 cylinders, if u try to put a spark plug in the last cylinder u will find that there are no treads for it but the wires will stick in the whole and does create a spark on a plug if one is put on, the fourth cylinder is there to balance the weight distribution

Put a teaspoon of eucalyptus oil in the cylinder and turn it over and listen where the spark plug goes in the head. if u hear a grinding noise stop and rebuild the cylinder. if there is no noise out of the ordinary it should be fine to run..

It might be a good idea to flush everything out with clean oil. And maybe clean the oil filter. And clean the crankcase and stuff.
