Question about 2000 Harley Davidson FXDX Dyna Super Glide Sport
I am not sure how you determined it loses spark, but if you shut off the ignition then turn it on and the engine starts back up I suspect the ignition module is at fault. The hall-effect sensor mounted to the end of the cam sends a yes or no signal to the module. The module uses this digital signal to turn the coil on and off to fire the plugs. The module is "smart" in that if it sees no signal change from the sensor it turns the coil off and leaves it off. If this malfunctions it is possible the module becomes "stupid" and times out with the engine running. When you turn it off and then back on the module reboots and starts looking for the signal again. The sensor is always stupid and does not reboot, just answers yes or no when the ebgine is turning over.

Tight the spark plugs....or the threads of the spark plugs may damaged, so replace the spark plugs
