If ur problem is that the bike is not getting any kind of sputter or fire when you turn it over then 2 things...
1st is easier, alot of bikes even when their battery shows its ok, it may not be you can tell by hooking up a booster (a jump) when starting and this can be a major problem with a little fix
2nd suggestion which I have had to do on many bikes (which Is why I suggest the easier of the two first) can be a real pain in the ****, you have to pull your tank if it does have a fuel pump this is where you will find it, if there is one you will have to pull it apart very carefully and clean it with an air hose to get all of the grime out and then carefully put it all back together...also you should go ahead and get some carburator cleaner and flush out the fuel lines, fuel filter, and then the carburators...
...if indeed you have a problem with the fuel this should fix it...sounds to me like u may have a slight problem with both

The slingshot does NOT have a fuel pump. It is gravity feed through a petcock. Make sure that the petcock is set to the ON position. Its under the tank on the side.
If your bike has K&N filters on the carbs make sure you cover them with a plastic back before you wash next time.plus you will have to wash them and re-oil them before you put them back on. Dont use super high pressure washer to wash your bike. A garden hose will do.
If it has the stock air filter you might have gotten water into the carboration system with that high pressure washer you used. You'll need to disassemble the airfilter unit and either remove your carbs to take off the float bowls and get the water out or try to drain your float bowls while the carbs are still on the bike. Siphon out all the old gas if you think you got water in it or you will have to do this all over again. Sounds like you intoduce water into the system to me.
1. Got good gas?
2. Got spark?
3. Got oxygen?
4. Got rid of water in the system? = Should start.
I use to own a sling shot too. 1988 model red and white.
