Monster 2000 900ie Clutch noise

with the bike level you must see oil in the sight glass, just below the clutch cover
( the clutch itself is a dry clutch no oil)

The torque spec for a chutch nut on a 900 is 180-190Nm (136 ft. lb.) The torque spec for the clutch housing bolts (presure plate) is 30-34 Nm (23 ft. lb.)

Ducati monsters have either a "wet" or "dry" clutch. Wet clutches are bathed in oil, while dry clutches are, well, dry. Dry clutches tend to be noiser, and if the clutch cover has been ventilated they clatter quite a bit. This is all normal, and for die-hard type, desireable.
