What type of side hack rig are you running? Did you get the damper from HD or aftermarket.

Generally, the piston end connects to your crash bar (right side) and the piston rod connects via a Heim joint (eye bolt with a swivel insert) and bolt through the hole in the outer axle shoulder.

Connecting a sidecar to a 1800 goldwing

Sidecar bolts to the front down tube, a sub frame bolted on using the centre stand bolt and a small bracket bolted on under the seat handle. The front mounting passes through the vent behind the fog lamp in the fairing to a clamp on the down tube, remove the fog lamp to make room for it.
I'd fit a damper but I don't see how to do it without removing part of the fairing or the trim round the forks.

Keep burning out coils on a 89 flhtc

Hi Anonymous, the white wires will go on the top post next to the rear cylinder spark plug cable, and the pink or blue wires will go on the bottom post next to the front cylinder spark plug wire. This according to an official 1989 factory service manual wiring diagram. Good luck

Just built a motorbike an sidecar outfit and if you go over 25 mph the handle bars shake. does anyone no what this could be please ?

The only sure cure is leading link front forks
You can try fitting a steering damper to minimise wobble but all telescopic forked sidecar outfits tend to have a wobble at some speed, it doesn't seem to matter how you alter the lean & toe-in

Hope this helps (if so please mark as helpful !!)

Does the sidecar harness have a square 4 pin plug? If it does it more than likely connects to the auxillary plug under the seat.
