When the fob battery is inserted correctly, you will NOT be able to read the info on the battery. In other words, shiny side out. This is a common mistake made by people when they insert the new battery. Also, the battery type must be a CR2032. Other batteries i.e. CR2025 are the same diameter but thinner and will not make contact with the battery connections.

Did you install the batteries correctly? If so, take the bike and fobs to your dealer and have them reprogrammed to the bike.

Lost pin and key fob for 2012 electra glide harley how do i start without it

Simply put, you cannot. You will have to replace the TSSM module if you want to keep the immobilizer and alarm or replace it with a TSM module which will have no alarm or immobilizer. Even a dealer cannot start this bike without a pin. If the bike was PDI'd correctly, the dealer may have set a standard pin code and as long as the owner did not change it happy days. On the other hand, if no pin code was set, then you are out of luck. No fob, no start. Check your owners manual to see if the dealer wrote the pin code down. Also, he may have stuck two stickers which will have the codes of the original fobs programmed to the bike. If you have these, he may be able to order a fob with matching codes. Good luck.

Reprogram harley key fob

Hi there,

I bought my Harley with one key FOB but I have since lost it along a ride. Lucky I was able to set and change the code on the bike so I can still start the bike. I am wondering if there is a way to program a new FOB without having another one present?

Thanking you
