Stupid rookie question from an experienced HD rider: I just bought a 2001 FXD 4th HD in my lifetime, but new model to me. I can't see what position is what on my fuel petcock...which...

It sounds like you have an aftermarket petcock on the bike. I am not familiar with a Harley petcock that has a round knob but then maybe just the knob is an add-on. In 1996, Harley went to a vacuum operated petcock, one that gives lots of problems. I cannot tell you which way is reserve on your petcock. The only way to tell for sure is to pull the petcock out. You'll see a plastic strainer on top of the petcock. Inside the strainer, there is a tube that runs approximately half way up the strainer. Select a position on the petcock valve and blow through the petcock. When you feel the air come out of this tube, this is the "ON" postilion. Right beside this tube inside the strainer is another hole directly into the petcock. Find the position that allows for air to pass through this hole and you've found the "reserve" position. The remaining position should be "off".

Good Luck

My pulsar 150 is showing a missing when it goes to reserve

It probably is due to the crud that is around the filter in the bottom of the tank.
Petrol is messy stuff and as it is a hydrocarbon it contains water.
Water rusts the tank this sinks to the bottom and after a while gunges up the filter.
If possible empty the tank fill with a small amount of fresh petrol and swill it around and empty again. If you can remove the filter from the tank clean it in meths or clean petrol. An old toothbrush works well.

I have a 2005 model pulser 150. now it have a missing shown when the fuel level become reserve. what's the reason?

The reserve position alows fuel from the bottom of the tank to flow. It sounds like you have crud/water/blockage in that fuel path. Turn the fuel off. Remove the fuel line at the tank. Place a long fuel line on the petcock to drain the fuel in a can. Place the fuel on the reserve position and watch how much fuel flow you have. Now blow back through the line while on reserve to clear the crud and again look at flow. This will let you know if you neeg to remove petcock and clean filter screen
inside tank.
Good Luck

Where is the reserve fuel switch

You have fuel injection? If so, no reserve AFAIK. In the carb version, the gastank fuel petcock is the fuel reserve switch, the lever's normal position is straight down, reserve position is straight up, off is sideways.

Hey.. i'm seriously confused of d gear system.. pls explain d gear system and tel me how to get neutral when am in some other gears in pulsar 180 dtsi(2007). and i like to know d tank apacity and reserve...

The tank capacity for the 180 DTS-i is 15 liters, the reserve is 1 liter, the total capacity therefore is 16 liters. The gears work like this, from neutral, first gear is down, thereafter all gears are up, there are five gears for the Pulsar. neutral can be found by tapping the gearlever all the way down, then softly one up, sometimes the bike goes to second gear when doing this, but mostly it will go to neutral
