Question about 2006 Harley Davidson XL 1200 R Sporster Roadster
How do i check the starter selenoid
Posted on Mar 06, 2009
If your battery has correct voltage when metered, then check for loose terminal connections (+ & -), if their tight then check starter relay for loose connection, if no loose wires on relay but it does click then check if cable to starter is tight and if so make sure wires to selenoid are tight and if they are THEN consider weak selenoid not engaging starter drive.

Its either a bad or drained battery or the starter selenoid. check your battery voltage using a tester or put it on a charger, if that doesnt solve your problem you should look at your starter selenoid
