If it is cranking over and just not firing i would drain your float bowl which you will see a tube coming out the bottom of your carb. it will have a screw right above it loosen that and gas should drain out.i would also think about draining your gas in your tank and putting fresh in.possible new spark plug

Check the TSM. Remove the unit, and remove the cap on it. If you smell a burnt smell from it that is your problem. Those TSMs control nearly everything on the bike, eventually the bike won't start at all. Simple fix if you're carbureted, but the ECM will have to be reprogrammed if you're injected.
its more likley that when it was serviced nobody told the bikes computer that a service had been done so it figerd you should look at the engine, daft huh? however it wont hurt to bung in some injector cleaner but use the right type, there is an unleaded one and a leaded one, if you have a cat on the bike and put in the leaded one you kill off the cat!

your BMW75 has a cold start sensor fitted to its fule system the choke leaver dose nothing but raze the reves a little its not a choke,,,thats withing the fule system if the sensor is not working right it wont tell the fule pump to enrich the fule mix and it will be hard to start from cold,,also if you start the bike up you must run it till its hot or the choke will stay on and flood up the engine the next time you try to start up
the choke sensor is in the water jaket, try changing this part first
the battery is charging ok if not the bike wouldnt run-ur starter motor needs inspection-maybe the rotor or brushes r froze-1st chec wiring that gos to the starter-could be loose or bad-with a manual u can disasemble n test the motor-ni dong ma zai jian
I suspect spark is good, The 3 things you need to get any motor running is fuel, spark and compression. If you have all 3 in good condition, it should run fine. But the 1st obvious check is the fuel. Drain tank or at least smell fuel and see if it smells like varnish. If it does, drain tank and carb and refill with fresh fuel and this time put fuel stable in it. I have had fuel for as long as 3 years with stabil in it and it works fine. So give that a try first and then we will go from there. Have a good one and happy holidays....Sincerely Jay

Wednesday night i was riding home from work and got about halfway home bike had a small bog while coming up for a turn onto another street pulled in the clutch and stall. Rolled to a stop and fired the magic button. The motor would turn over and act like it wanted to run (had to give a small amount of throttle) for about 2-3 seconds and then would die. Did this about 5 times and the typical dead or low batter clicking occured.
Got the bike home and it has been on the tender for the last 2 days and i just put some time in on the bike and sure enough bike will turn over although kida sputtering and making slight backfire sounds (almost as if timing is off) and will run for about 2-3 seconds and dies. I can do this about 4-5 times and the infamous clicking starts to happen again. Now my bike has never been a cold start bike, i always have to give it a bit of throttle when its cold to keep it running, but once it warms up runs like a champ...or atleast it used to. Its a fairly new battery and has been kept on the tender when the bike is not used for a few days. Now the other thing that bothers me is it seems that oil may be seeping out from where the head and the case meet, but very little. The motor does have a slight coating of oil around the gasket area. I did send the motor to ATK back in late 04 or 05 and had the reliability and upgrade done to it but have only about 500 total miles on it since then, with about 400 of those in the last coulple of months.
,Even with a good bike battery 4-5 tries is about all they have.So forget about the battery and go with basics fuel,compression and spark.
Also sounds like you need some mapping help, you should never have to touch the throttle when starting. The will run perfect if they are tuned.
Do you know what map is in it? Did ATK also change the ECU to a .atj map?,,,
