I think that my tigershark pool cleaner is actually stirring up the cloudy debris on the bottom of the pool instead of the debris going into the tigershark filter. Is there something wrong that can b

Everytime I put clarifier in the pool, let particles settle, and then put my tigershark pool cleaner in to clean it up- the nightmare starts all over again- it makes the pool cloudy again. is this a fixable problem or is it time to get a new pool cleaner? This unit is about 6-7 years old and yes, I do clean the filters before every use. Thanks for your help.

SOURCE: Aquavac Tiger shark won't operate

The power supply powers on even when it doesn't output any voltage, so it's kind of misleading. You should have the power supply checked or you can do it yourself if you have a multi-meter, by measuring the output and making sure there is 24V.

Tigershark comes out of the water too far

You need to reduce the flow through the impeller - there should be a baffle (something in plastic, round, that will be installed at the top of the shark) in the box that it came in.

Why does the low voltage breaker kick off every time in turn the vacuum on?

Check to see if the ENTIRE suction system is free of debris. Empty your vacuum bag. Ensure that the brushes/wheels are moving and not jammed. Check for proper voltage to the system. If all of these items are ok, then it needs to be serviced.

We just bought the 4000 gal/hr Intex pump to replace the smaller one that came with our pool. It had lots of power and good water flow for an hour or so, then started decreasing steadily. It seems to have...

I suspect that debris may have clogged the new pump. the only solution is to open the pump chamber and inspect. Flushing does not work.
You may need to repeat this process several times until you get the pool clear. Be sure to utilize any pre filter strainers that you have.

When we lift the Tigershark out of the pool after it has finished its cycle it lets go of all the debris it has picked up. We can't find anything in the manuals to help us. It is very frustrating as it...

With the cleaner out of the pool flip it upside down and remove the bottom lid. Inspect the outer case along the seam where the dark and light color plastics meet. If you find cracks patch them with a two-part epoxy made to repair plastics.

You will also want to inspect the outer case return flaps that are directly behind the brushes. Those flaps can come loose or fall out and will let debris out of the unit.

Check the flaps within the bottom lid itself to be sure they are still installed and functioning properly. A twig of leaf can wedge into the hinge and block the flap from closing allowing debris out of the bag.

Finally, inspect the bag for any holes or wear that could allow debris to escape.

One or more of these issues should be the cause and once corrected your cleaner should operate as it should.

Fine particles going thru the bag

Check the bag of your pool cleaner to make sure that it doesn't have any holes or tears that should not be there. Some fine particles will not be picked up by pool cleaners, no matter how effective. If your filter is not catching the debris, you might need to manually brush the bottom and sides in order stir the dirt up into the filter.

Not staying on the bottom of pool while cleaning pool there is nothing in the cleaner

If your cleaner is not making a connection with the bottom of the pool, it is probably debris caught in your flaps. This is a fairly common issue with these pool cleaners. Throughly check the flaps for any leaves, dirt, or other debris that might have become lodged. You might also want to check your water pressure and make sure that it is not too high or low.
