Ok jack up the right rear tire look at the inside ot the tire as you slowly rotate the tire also look for any signs that something is rubbing against the tire. if you must remove the tire and check to see if the spring in the strut is broken and rubbing against the tire. I ran into this problem before and the spring in the strut was broke shifted against the tire and caused it to rub the tire causing smoke. let me know we will keep trying to find the cause

SOURCE: clicking and popping sound coming

Sounds like you have a CV joint that has failed. If the CV boot on the Axle is greasy looking than dirt and water has damage the joint. Cheapest and "easiest" way is to just replace the axle with a remanufactured one. Also make sure the wheel nuts are tight, they can make some bad noises when a wheel is loose. Good luck.

SOURCE: when i start the car, it makes a high pitch

You probably have a slipping serpentine belt due to wear or a ceased pulley i.e. water pump pulley, alternator, power steering or idler pullies. Check belt for excessive wear & release idler tension & rotate these pullies by hand to see if there is any binding. If ther is binding replace the necessary component. Good luck!

2001ford escape burning rubber smell and noise

Check the rear upper strut towers. These are notorious for rusting out, and causing the tire to hit the inner fender well. To my knowledge, no recall on this, but I've fixed a few with a rear quarter panel replacement from rock auto. You wouldn't notice it much on the rear of the vehicle. Smell the rear fender wells for burnt rubber odor.

Rubber smell and slight smoke

a rubber smell?? the best thing you can do is diagnose it properly by blocking it up high enough of the ground and let it smoke then slide yourself under there and see where it originates ... check for witness drip marks on the exhaust first??

There was a little smoke coming from the spark plug area, a bad burning smell like rubber, and a sound almost like air leaking out of a tire

Hello! It sounds as if you had a spark plug wire come in contact with the exhaust manifold. If this happens, you will also notice that the car may begin to sputter and have a misfire condition. As for the sound, it could be the wire arcing against metal.

Hope this helps and thanks for using FixYa!

Rubber burning smell and smoke

It sounds like a pulley froze up. Pop the hood have someone start the car while you are looking at the pulleys, you should be able to see the problem.

1999 chevy blazer starts, but makes noise and no acceleration

Smoke coming out from the middle of the two rear tires right? Sound like your rear differential is out of lubricant. Leftover lubricant is probably getting burned by heat from the friction. Have your rear differential lubed up.
