Question about 2008 Suzuki GSX-R 600

1 Answer

2008 GSXR 600 Won't idle when the temp is real cold

Feels like a cylinder is not firing, have a power commander and yoshi slip on, and k&n filter other than that everything else is stock.

It also, during the day seems like it has a miss or something when held at about 5000 rpm even when warm but why not miss like at night when much colder?

The missing at night is so bad, have to be at 4000rpm just to get going and still wants to stall.......and all this with only 7000 miles on it.

Check your injectors man... Sounds like you have a nasty clog... Other than that the only thing I can guess would have to do with this would be check the fuel lines the spark plugs and fuel pump... If nothing is wrong your best bet would be getting it to a shop...

08 gsxr turned off while idling and wouldn't turn back over

When the engine is idling, the alternator is not charging. Starting the bike will drain a weak battery. A fast idle (1000 rpm or so) will quickly recharge the battery. If the battery is dead and the alternator is not charging the bike will not run. Check the connections at the battery. Remove and clean them. Check the main fuse and all other fuses. (The temp indication may be a false reading due to other problems.)

My 2008 suzuki gsxr 600 stalls when it reaches 70mph and above ,when the bike slows down the engine gives a **** and comes back in operation.

Make sure your air filter is clean, check the fuel filter and tank for contaminants.
More off the wall , the rev limiter may be faulty, is it a certain speed or a given rev range that causes the shutdown?
Look at the air filter first!!

How to adjust 2008 GSXR 600 Idle?

unless you have piped with atfermarket pipes it should not need done yet. Best way to control all timing and carb issues is with a power commander unit. Or have access to a durometer flow meter or Carb sync. This is not an EFI correct

02 GSXR Limits to 4800rpm, drops to idle, when warm not cold.

If you have the stock computer replace the power commander with the stock computer then see if the problem still remains. If it goes you can be sure the problem lies within your commander and it will need to be remapped or replaced...Good luck

As in using the word "tune" do you tune-UP? If so, you'll be wasting your money without installing a Power Commander at the same time...($200+parts)

That FI message is a computer warning telling you something is wrong with your fuel injection system. Have you installed a power commander or fuel nanny recently?

Top speed 2005 Suzuki GSX R 600?

It depends on weither or not you have any aftermarket stuff put on the bike. My 600 will do 182 but that is with a power commander, acceleration kit, k&n air induction kit, k&n filter, and having it dyno tuned. My buddys stock 600 will do about 166 mph
