Question about Honda CR 125 R Motorcycles

1 Answer

Exhaust packing After a full overhaul, can you tell me how much in weight do I pack the rear silencer? As too much or too little can cause problems. My bike is a Honda CR125 1999.

What is the brand and model of your silencer, usually (since i have only 1 silencer and 3 arresters for my rm)

when i pack the silencer, it usually depends on what arrester i use. if you are using stock FMFs 15" premier pack will be good enough 011390

i wont actually cause any problems, just minor lose on the power, very minor if it is too much or too less. too less will be as if the pack is freely moving inside the silencer, to much is when you cane even put the pack in the tube.

Problem of Oil dropping from silincer of a dirt bike need solution please I need help am i putting alot of oil on gas

Well if you putting too much oil in the fuel it won't run at the right temperature and will make the bike run weak as it dilutes the fuel.a motocross bike is run at about 25ml of 2 stroke oil per litre of petrol.lots of bikes leak black sticky oil from the exhaust it means it Running a bit cool usually or just too much oil.

have you checked exhaust port and exhaust not carbon up ? rear silencers can clog up or break inside , if you can remove silencer and run up , it will be loud but see if it revs better !

Which engine oil to be used for Bajaj CT-100? also due to rust my bike's silencer is having holes, will that cause problems?

Any major brand of motor oil is fine. Use 30 weight oil. Other than being noisy, the rusted silencer should not be a problem.

I am having problems with oil leaking from the exhaust. I am running 32:1 and even leaned it out a little less on the last tank and went to a hotter plug, but I still ahve significant amount of oil not...

Obviously tsantawirya doesn't know what a 2 stroke is.

Run 40 or even 50:1. You can do it without hurting anything. Also, check your silencer packing. It may be saturated.

A little drippage isn't uncommon on any 2 stroke.

Ring burns up low compression

sounds like you are running to lean, whenever you alter your exhaust system you must rejet your carb. when you have jetted correctly your spark plug colour should be chocolate brown. white or gray is to lean black is to rich.Change your jet to a larger size, install new spark and take it on a short ride at full throttle stop and check plug colour. repeat this till plug colour is correct. hop this helps james

I have a crf 230f, and if i take the baffles out of the muffler, will it hurt my bike?

it can make the engine run very lean, this can cause piston damage, suggest you modify the fuel system to deliver more fuel.

Oil leaks

Don't worry. The bike builds up a little oil at a time.
This is 2 stroke oil that is unburnt during combustion.
You might be running the bike a little rich.
A mix of 32/36 to one is good for outriding.

You should de-carbon the exhaust and replace the silencer packing. This will also give you some unexpected horse power.

Enjoy the ride !
