Question about 2006 Triumph Daytona 955i

Battery not charging 03 955i

My consal gose blank and engine will shout down soon after. I charge up the battery and it will start back up.I have load tested the battery and it is good. I have a engine managment light on also.

I had the same problem on my 06 955i. I replaced the rectifier using a part from electrexworld. it is the RR99 http://www.electrexworld.co.uk/#5259X0

Also there is an excellent mod for beefing uo the charging system here ... basically it means the reg/rec output goes straight to the battery

Sounds like the regulator rectifier has gone bad, but the first thing I would do is get my hands on a manual for quick reference d see if its something simple that you could do yourself like replacing the regulator.

2009 451 Passion. Why a frequent dead battery?


That is definitely wrong, not normal. Voltage should stay at 14 volts or near that until the battery is close to fully charged, then will slide down to about 13.5 volts, and stay there while engine is running. Also, a fully charged battery should show about 12.6 volts at a minimum, especially a new battery.
I don't know what is going on with your system. Take it back to Merc- were they aware of how it is acting, voltage-wise? Doesn't sound like it. One small possibility: is your alternator belt not tight enough?

The charging light (as you call it) might not be a problem at all; and I question whether or not there is any adjustable regulator. Now the fact that the voltage light comes on seems to indicated that it is working properly: as the PTO and/or lights add load, the light comes on to indicated that battery reserve is taking up the the slack until battery charge builds back up to where it is resisting further voltage input. Sometimes it is just a matter of continuing until the light goes out. Occasionally, I find that switching the engine run switch on and off momentarily will reset and extinquish the voltage indicator light. Remember also that battery reserive might have drained in storage so had not built up if lights or mower are switched/started soon after initial engine startup. Finally, too frequent charging of battery could be sign of diminishing battery capacity or increasing battery internal resistance. All said, though, I would be more concerned by the voltage light's coming on without associated sudden load increases.

My HD 2001 Softtail will not start due to a power drain when i turn it on.


Battery is probably bad, 12.35 volts is only a 50% charged battery and this is a surface charge you have tested so it probably is a no good battery and as soon as any load is put on it it drops further. Replace it with an HD AGM battery. Otherwise recharge it and do a load test on it and see what results you get then

Keep charging battery an it dies


Sorry to say that it sounds like one of the cells in your battery has 'died'. It will show a full charge when sat on the bench but as soon as you put a heavy load (like the starter motor) on it it won't want to know. Only solution is a new battery.

1. Severely discharged or damaged battery.
2. Loose, corroded or broken battery cable.
3. Alternator not charging or below normal rates.
4. Failed ignition coil, ignition/electronic module.
5. Failed CKP, CPS, CMP, MAP, TPS, or BAS sensor.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Water or dirt in fuel system, carburetor or filter.
8. Fuel tank vent system plugged or gas cap not venting.
9. Fuel tank empty.
10. Fuel valve vacuum line broken or carburator vent line closed off.
11. Restricted, blocked or kinked fuel line.
12. Failed fuel pump, pressure regulator and or fuel injectors.

My iphone shout down


First plug it in to a power source to charge it. It might have shut down due to a lack of battery power. Once you have done that, hold the home and sleep button at the same time for 8 seconds or until you see the apple sign. If this fails to get it up and running you may need to connect it to iTunes and have iTunes recognize it.Then you will have to try restoring as a NEW iPhone and see if the problem persists. If you can get it to turn on then you're fine, if not, I would recommend visiting an Apple store soon.

I have a Ford F250 Diesel 6.0 Single altenator, charges fine with no load, as soon as I turn a blower on it starts creeping back down till its not charging.


load test batteries
if it only does this with blower motor it may be overdrawing (partly shorted out)
load it up with light, wipers, washers, interior lights,etc and monitor gage
make sure belt is good and not slipping touch alternator if very hot armature is
on its last leg replace alternator if this all chcks out the heater motor is faulty

Upon startup engine idles rough then speeds up and returns to normal idle .After a couple of minutes the volt light comes on then no power then a complete shut down.Starts back up for a while then shuts...


OK, the volt light means that the alternator is not charging the battery. It could mean the battery is shorted out, or the battery is bad or low on charge due to an alternator not charging.

Replace the Alternator and battery as indicated by standard voltage output tests under load.

The computer in the car will not operate the engine properly on low voltage.

Fixing the charging system, may resolve the rough idle (meaning that it may be trying to relearn after data was erased by low voltage of the battery), and the speed up.


Try the charging system first, and once that is repaired, reevaluate the engine driveability and speed and idle smoothness, after it relearns.

My walkman works when its plugged in but as soon as its unplugged it goes blank and i cant turn it on?


Try plugging it in to a mains charger! I had similar problem found this on sony website -

Cause:
Battery is 100% discharged. Therefore, PC's USB with 5V/500mA set up has not enough power to start up the charging process because loading current is greater than the set up, therefore USB is disabled immediately due to sudden current load.
Remedy:
  1. Battery must not be discharged 100%
  2. If it happens then the supplied AC adaptor must be used firstly because it is providing 5V/800mA power. After a couple of minutes the unit can be connected to PC without problem then it can continue the charging during file transfer, etc.
Mines back to full working order!
