Engine will cut off like you turned key off then comes right back on.

Fuel line in the gas tank coming from the fuel pump has a hole in it or is leaking around the connection where the line and the fuel pump connect. It is losing fuel pressure which will make it cut off.

It's under the engine on the flat part of the pan. Slightly to the right and rear of the pan.

My harley wont tick over or ticks over at around 500 rpm then stalls

The engine idle speed is set too low. If the engine is equipped with a carburetor, the idle speed stop screw is located at the top right of the carb. If it's fuel injected, the idle speed is set electronically and you need to take it to a shop to get it set a bit higher. It should be idling at 1000 RPM or so.

Good Luck,
Steve
