1990 fzr 1000 won't start

The tail light and the front turn signals are on, but no indications on the instrument panel. looking for a neutral light, then I can hit start. I installed a new fully charged battery, and I checked all the fuses, the fuses are good, pulled and reseated them all too. No headlights, checked bulbs, they are good. I also took apart the ignition and it was fine, re-installed.

SOURCE: 1982 maxim no turn signals no break light

Does the brake light work with the front brake lever. Sounds like wrong type of bulbs in there or bad turn signal flasher...Do the lights light up when you hit the switch and just stay lit...Also i can tell you that mine had to have the bike running in order to create enough amps to even make the flasher trip. I eventually put bigger bulds in each turn signal to draw more so they work with it running or not. It had 2156 bulbs in and i put 2157. Oh the flasher unit is under the fuel tank.

If you are not getting battery voltage to the sockets for your H/L bulb and you have tested the fuse with a multi meter or test light, then you have had the headlight relay fail.

Check your LH side cover under the Rectifier or if not there look by your instrument panel there should be a plastic cover you can open up. Good enough for free advise? Another quick way is to query a Honda dealer mechanic an to show you where it is. Good?

sounds to me that it could be a faulty wire....it may not be grounded right. follow the negative wire from the battery.check it and make sure the insulation is not cut anywhere.check that the wire on top of the starter is good and tight also.

Tail lights don't work on 1998 Chevy Silverado.

check the wiring from the tailights back to the fuse panel, it sounds like an open connection. if i recall correctly check under the dash on the drivers side near the fuse panel for a bunch of wires in a bundle and look carefully for a wire or two that are cut/shorted/or seperated, you can also check under the drivers side kick panel by the hood release.
