I have a K & N, it will not make that sound. I think you need to go for K & N Performance filter

We can't help without knowing the model and year of the bike and the service history. If you haven't been looking after your bike it will have problems, Especially if you bought a secondhand bike and didn't check the service history before you bought it, or if you failed to service it before you used it. If you buy a used vehicle you should get it serviced properly immediately, this will highlight any defects that may have been hidden by the previous owner.

Hi, I bought Honda *** 5 days back. Since the first day i have starting problem at morning and evening(when the bike is idle for more than 10 hrs). I am using the choke to start the vehicle and...

A brief warm up is normal. What may help is cleaning the air filter, cleaning the carb external and internal, and installing a new spark plug. Check with a dealer on what the heat range is on the stock plug, then go one number hotter.

Bike VFR 800 - 2006. Bought with 2000 Kms on the clock March 2010. Went well until 6000kms service done by Honda dealer. At 8000kms started leaking oil from filter. Checked tightness and found to be...

There are a number of simlpe things that you can do in this situation.1) only use Honda filters,I find some of the after market ones poor.2)Check the seat where the oil filter sits for burrs or nasties.3) Are you overfilling your oil, this will cause the oil pressure to go sky high and leak where it can.4) are you 100% positive that is coming from the filter ring,Many tines it comes from above the filter and the extra burns off misleading you into believing its the filter.I just went through the same thing with my bike and it tuned out to be a base gasket. You may have to strip away some plastic on the bike to get a good look.Good luck and good riding.

Bike wont go past 10,000 rpms. power just shuts out.

These bikes have rev limiters to keep you from blowing the motor. they are supposed to do just that, shut power off if you rev the engine too hard. Usually it cuts out and re-starts very rapidly and you get sort of a Vroom, Vroom , Vroom sound that lets you know you are reving it too much. If you continue to push the motor it will shut power off. 10,000 rpm is a lot of rpm and this could cause major issues with the motor. you don't want a piston to come loose at this rpm!

Hi, me and a friend put my bike through a service the other day (plug, air filter and oil change). It seemed a lot nippier but after riding for a few minutes it began to die on me. Its like it is starved...

So take off the K&N filter and run down the street with out any filter. If the problem disappears you know the filter is the problem. In my opinion, K&N filters are over-rated. If the problem is still there, install another new spark plug and drain the float bowl on the carb. The first plug may be fouled or feathered. The bowl may have accumulated enough condensation from the gas tank to cause a problem. If so, the serviceing you did had nothing to do with the problem.

How much oil I have to put inside the engine??

Most 900-1000cc sport bikes require 3.8 qts depending if you are also changing the oil filter or not (which I would recommend also if you do buy the filter pay the extra few $ for the Honda oil filter wrench that comes with the filter, it makes the allot easier and also works on all Honda models as well as most other model bikes with that style oil filter...but remember only a quarter turn past hand tight or so should do the trick, you don’t need to go crazy)...If you are not changing the filter it will take a little less...most likely around 3 qts depending oh how much is trapped in the oil filter sill

Buy 4 quarts. Put 3 in and run the bike for about a min or two at idle to let the oil circulate as well as heat up and expand. Then shut the bike off and let it sit for another 5 min, then if needed have a friend hold the bike upright or do it yourself if your confident (but don’t him or sit with weight on the seat or bike or it will affect ride height and in turn oil level)

Then add oil as needed, to fill it to just under the top of the 2 oil marks (leaving a little room for the still cool oil to expand)

Then make sure everything is clean and your oil drain bolt is tight and take it for a small 5 min test ride...then check the oil again.... and you should be just where you want it

Also have the same bike and have just sorted that problem. Firstly the fuel pipe with the filter goes on the highest bit of fuel valve nearest the tank then the vaccum on the lowest bit. As for stalling when reved i found that the carburretor needle had come off the slide and when you opened throttle the needle never moved when slide and needle replaced and re attached it worked fine.

Fuel injector 450 xc

fills with gas then stops. The Bike doesn't start and the injector just doesn't make anymore noise isn't it suppose to be going continuously? if so then wat can i do to fix this problem ?,The fuel pump primes for a few seconds and then shuts off until the bike starts. What you are describing sounds normal. If your filter is filling with gas you may have a dirty fuel filter, or the orings in the quick disconnect may be blocking the fuel on either side of the tank. One of my friends had a oring blocking the return line and it ended up taking out his pump. Make sure you have a good stream of fuel returning to the tank, if so there is no blockage. ,,,
