Gpz1000rx mis-fire Hi. I have a 1987 GPZ1000RX which has developed a mis-fire and started spitting fuel out of one of the carbs . It seems ok at higher revs but low down it is terrible. I have tried new plugs but it is still the same. Any ideas folks ?? Thanks

This might sound too obvious, and you've probably already tried it, but have you stripped and cleaned the carbs yet? could be worth a go, or you could try draining and balancing them first.

Triumph Legend 1998 same as Thunderbird 900motorcycle running badly.

Was the bike working okay after the overhaul? Mis firing due to bad setup or very bad fuel.If it has not run right since the work was carried out ask the repairer to take a look.
If it only started to go awry after using wheap fuel, (it should still be of uniform quality with other fuel,)
I would drain the tank and refill with premium. Try not to get any air into the system if you do this, makes life easier

MY KAWASAKI GPZ1000RX RIDES FINE UNTIL I'VE DONE +- 100KMH THEN SHE JURKS ALOT and also cannot go futher till 140kmh is it?

Could be a number of reasons from ignition through fueling or more. You will have to start diagnosing . Are you saying it jerks etc at near 100 kmh but then runs better at 140 kmh.

Bleed clutch on gpz1000rx

I found this the best for my 88 FZR 1000. I would fill the reservoir and then open the bleeder valve at the clutch actuator.slowly pull in the clutch handle or the ensuing funnyness will not be my fault... A hose attached to the bleeder will help... But pull it all the way in, slowly and right as you are bottoming out close the bleeder valve. do this about 5 times, check your reservoir, do it another 5 times and check again. then this round you are actually going to pump the clutch handle 3 to 5 times holding it down on the last pump, then open the bleeder valve about 1/2 turn then close it, do this 5 times twice checking the reservoir during the procedure. if this doesn't help, you have other problems

Old '87 ranger been sitting in folks yard few years. fires up fine, but spits and sputters going down the road

Old fuel in tank, fuel filter clogged, plugged/clogged carb. or fuel injectors.

1. Drain fuel from tank and replace with new fuel with SeaFoam or Lucas

2. Repace fuel filter

3. With engine running at a high idle and air cleaner off, spray or pour carb/fuel injection cleaner into carb/fuel injectors.

If problems persist, check plug wires for cracks and/or breaks. Pull spark plugs checking for fouling.

Gpz1000rx number 1 cylinder fouling spark plug, causing miss fire and light blue smoke

Your cylinder is worn. Its allowing oil past the ring. The oil is fouling the plug and the burning oil is causing the blue smoke. After 22 years the Kawi needs a freshened up top end.
