Question about 2002 Suzuki TL 1000 R

Grab handles I am looking for a set of grab handles for my 03 TLR. I know I can get the sissy bar style but dont like it. I have found Chromed grips for the busa but not the TLR. Anyone know where/if anyone makes them or am I going to have to fab them myself?

Hi, Beth after careful deliberation 4 out 5 Honda Gods give this one a thumbs up, but just to be on the safe side you should give your local dealer's parts/service department a call to confirm. How do I retract the pull along handle on HD bag (sissy bar panier)

Without knowing what year and model it is hard to advise. If the handle does not retract it seems like it is not too old though. Best way to get an answer is to take it in to an H-D parts department and ask for a demonstration

Replace handle grips

Need to be more specific. If it's removing the grip from the bar then I've found that using air works the best. Take your air nozzle on a compressor and put it on the back side of the grip and it will inflate it enough for u to work it off the bar.

How to change low sissy bar on a 2000 FLSTC

Look on either side of the sissy bar down near the base. There are usually two bolts on each side. Remove these bolts and the sissy bar pulls out of the side plates which stay on the bike.

Good Luck

Installation of Sissy Bar

the bolts on the rear fender area hold the sissy bar as well as the rear fender. I had the same difficulties. you will have to buy long bolts that will fit through the sissy bar and through the chrome and then through the fender. I found this out the hard way when I removed the sissy bar and did not replace the bolts. the rear fender was close to falling off the bike.
the bolts are found in diy stores. the only restriction is to make sure the bolt does not go into the area of the rear wheel so that it might come in contact with the tyre.
