Spark plug ft/lbs

I'm changing the plugs in my bike and I need to know what ft/lb to torque them at. I looked in the manual and can not find it...

In general, finger tight plus a quarter turn should do it.

The (repair) manual will tell you. If you're going that deep into the bike, you should really have one.

Pretty much any vehicle (bikes and cars) with an aluminum head has the spark plug(s) torqued to 14-15 FT/LBs

The head cover bolts should be 14 Nm or 10 ft-lb...
The head cover union bolts should be tightened first( they're the four centre bolts next to the spark plug tunnels) to 16 Nm or 11.5 ft-lb.
These figures are from the Suzuki service manual...

Im replacing the front and rear sprockets on my 1991 suzuki gsx600 katana. I'm sure either the front probably the rear as well will need to be torqued, I'm just curious how mny pounds i need to torque it...

Well, the oldest manual I have handy is for a '94, it specs:

Front sprocket nut 84 ft lbs
rear sprocket nuts 43.5 ft lbs
axle nut 72.7 ft lbs

Older manuals spec 67.5 for rear sprocket nut, this was changed to 43.5 due to the large number of problems with stripping nuts/bolts.

What are the top end torque settings for a 1975 750 triumph bonne

The Base nuts are in the 26-28 ft/lb range and the head bolts are 18-20 ft/lbs. I see the T150 goes from 20-22 lbs. There is a sequence too. I usually snug everything up and work from the center bolt to the four bolts closest to the center bolt and then the 4 outside bolts. Triumphs are pretty forgiving, just don't over torque.. and remember to check the torque or re-torque once you have started the bike. Say, ride it a block or two and then re-torque. I like to put a load on the engine before re-torquing.

I have just snugged everything down by feel in the past with good results but then again you have to know what 22 ft/lbs "feels" like.. good luck..

U27ESR-N (Denso)
Gap 0.7 - 0.8mm (0.028 - 0.031 inches)
Spark Plug torque: 12.5 (9.0

General spec is 8 ft lbs. 16 ft lbs then 90 deg turn. the pattern is the key. follow the pattern in the manual

Torque setting

Ok, lets see- I still have my old official shop manual for that bike...Cylinder head nut torque is 16-20 ft lbs,Cam sprocket bolt torque is 12-17 ft lbs, Valve adjuster cover torque is 7-10 ft lbs, Cyl head cover torque is (6mm)- 7-10 ft lbs (7mm) 9-12ft lbs, Rocker arm adjuster nut torque is 11-13 ft lbs.

Same oil filter, you're good to go, not to worry. As for the drain plug, I torque everything that calls for torques. If you don't have a torque wrench, be careful when you put it on, you don't want to over torque your aluminum'll strip it, and wish you had spent the money on the torque wrench. If you plan on doing any work on your bike, get a good torque wrench. It will pay for itself and give you ease of mind knowing the job is done right.
