4 stroke engines require a leaner than normal fuel/air mixture to start when hot. The cold start choke allows more fuel into the mix. The hot start choke allows more air into the mix.

I have a 99 suzuki srad 750 that wont start once hot, ive changed batteries, stator, and starter, still wont start without a jump start

Did starter include a new solenoid? However, there has been a rash of bad "new" solenoids. Try to "jump" around the solenoid to see if it spins the starter motor. If it does, most likely a bad "new" solenoid.

2001 suzuki intruder 1500 gas gauge

After starter rebuild gas gauge prob went away....something to do with starter windings near casing when hot. Starter problem came back after 3 mos. Biker buddy said to use larger gauge cable from batt to sol to starter...allows more amps and less heat from starter!

Does the 2003 rm-z suzuki 250 have a battery?? if so where is it?

As far as i am aware, the answer is no. Some of these bikes MAY have been used on road too, and if so, it may have had a battery to run lights etc. Check to see if there is a light swithch, starter button or any additional wiring lying about under the seat, which is where, i would guess any battery would be hiding. But i would suspect no, the RMZ is a moto x bike, and didnt have a battery.

Suzuki DL650 2009 will not start suspect selenoid switch cannot locate the switch

Hello,
The solenoid makes contact from the battery to the starter. If you follow the hot lead of the battery it will take you to the solenoid. You can test the solenoid with a 12 volt test light. When you push the starter button the solenoid should give power to the starter motor wire.

Thanks and I hope that this helps.

I have a suzuki 160 atv 1989 it was running fine then just died will not turn over and looks as if it has not electric, yet I jump out the selinod and the quad starts and runs I am guess that a module went...

if you can short out the starter solenoid to start the engine there are only two possible causes. first a bad solenoid or a faulty ignition switch. check wiring from ign. switch to starter soelnoid
