Hmm, if it only runs on choke and you have done all of those modifications I would think the re-jetting time is now. How did the bike run before all of the modifications? That is the magical question. If it ran fine before the mods, it's time to re-jet. If it ran bad before the mods. I would undo the mods, get your carbs running correctly and then reinstall the mods again. So I guess you have two choices.

RD350 B type hits a wall @4500-5000rpm and hardly does 90kmph acceptably.

Did you rejet for the foam filter, you must go richer on the mains. And paper filters are completely adequate for most every type of bike, using foam or other so called performance filters on bikes can cause carb mixture issues and do nothing to increase power, rode 50 years so know a thing or two about bikes.

CB250 is backfiring

Backfire when throttle down can be;
1. dirty carbs that are running lean and need cleaning. Also the rubber grommets that hold the carbs can be leaking at the backside or even dry rotted.
2. no air filter
3. broken or open vacuum lines
4. an aftermarket exhaust that needs rejetting or an open exhaust system

2001 Honda VT 1100 C2 Shadow Sabre Running Lean

I have a 2007 Honda Shadow Sabre VT1100 and I also put after market pipes on it from Vance and Hines. I also have to keep it choked when first starting and sometimes even hold the throttle a bit while it warms up. The bike has two carburetors and the best solution I have found by lots of asking around of mechanics and bike folk is to get it rejetted through Dyno Jet. It is meant for bikes with after market exhausts and much less back pressure from the lack of those stiffling baffles in the stock pipes. I have also noticed the power loss in the middle torque range and backfiring because of the bike running in a lean condition. The Dyno Jet website is a good place to find the correct set and corresponding part number, but then I suggest finding a cheap place online so you avoid retail price :) Hope this helps. Oh, and don't forget to buy two kits...we have two carburators in our bikes.

Bike won't run past 4k rpm. Has pods and cut off exhaust.

Hi sounds like fuel air mixture problem due to the filter pods, as this type of machine relyes on the corre t intake of air to run correctly. When running whatch the throttle slides as you increase the throttle opening the slide should rise. If by placing your arm at the back of the carbs, if byreducing the air flow alows the engine speed to increase then you will have to rejet to suite

Backfires when you let off the throttle

Sometimes this is caused by excessive air leaks, usually in the exhaust or inlet. However if you have a set of aftermarket exhaust pipes on the bike or have modified the air intake. Then the engine will be running extra lean, and causing your backfiring.

Vulcan 1993 750 backfire issue everytime i let off

This is often caused by an air leak , inlet manifolds, exhaust gaskets into the head or the gaskets between the headers and muffler.
This is assuming all the rest of the bike is set correctly, valve clearances, airfilter, clean carbs

Air box

Because the K&N filters are much less restrictive than the original airbox and filter, the bike may run lean, and you MAY have to have the carb jets reworked/changed.

Changed exhaust did not rejet pops when ideling

If you went to a less restrictive exhaust and didnt rejet and the bike is popping its running to lean. Need to rejet the carbs when you open up the exhaust.

Bike runs great but backfires had jets done

hi,might be able to help,i am hoping that the backfire is on the off throttle,if it is then is quite easy, check the exhaust system for air leaks, air gets sucked into the system through leaks, mixes with the hot exhaust gasses, leans out the mix inside the pipe then bang..1 backfire, the other cause could be particularly if you are running an aftermarket exhaust is that the system is running to lean and needs to be rejetted most times though it is air getting into the exhaust through badly fitting seals and gaskets..hope this helps...cheers ian
