Sundowner Deep Bucket Seat for my Deuce

I have been looking for a more comfy seat for my 2007 Deuce, the Wife gets a bit numb after 100 miles or so, so I would like to change the seat, I like the look of the HD Sundowner deep bucket 51112-00b, Has anyone fitted one, did it look nice ?, was it comfy ? also I am stunted in the leg department so did it raise the ride height, I find the standard seat just right height wise, I am also worried about the width, if it spreads the legs too much when stationary, also does anyone know a good saddle bag quick release system that looks nice on the Deuce, easy offs leave a big lump behind, thanks Bucket.

I like the sundowner on the deuce, but I don't know about passenger comfort...IMO I haven't seen a saddlebag configuration that I like yet for the deuce. I'm going with a bag to carry on the luggage rack that attaches to the sissy bar Kuryakyn or Saddleman at this point, and I will be putting the bag on to rest on the seat so I can use it for a back rest. (I don't carry a passenger though). Good luck to you & let us know what you decide to go with.

How do I remove the carburator from a 2007 Yahama Majesty

Im not sure what cc it as as you haven't said they make. 125 and 250 ,I'll guess its the 125 under the seat is the seat bucket it's held in with either 4 or 6 6mm bolts with 10mm hexagon heads.Take these bolts out and lift out the bucket you can see the carburettor in front of you.unholy it from the inlet manifold and the hose on the back to the air filter.

2005 Deuce, Softtail. Key shows on dash. Engine shut off. All lights work except blinkers. Replaced TSM. Did not fix problem. Blow ignition fuses, fuel pump wont work.

Check the harness by the seat. I had one a few years back the would intermittently do what yours is doing. it was a small nick in the harness from a sharp edge on one of the welds. It would touch it just right and strand the guy. He would take the seat off to look and it would move just enough to start up.

Deuce seat removal

Hi Anonymous, seat removal can range from the simple and obvious to the complex and baffling for the novice new Harley Davidson owner. Seems like the more expensive the bike is the harder it is to remove the seat. So let's start with the most expensive. 99% of all Harley seats have a male tounge in the front that slides into a female reciever that is either bolted or welded to the frame just behind the fuel tank. For this reason when ever you are removing a seat you must always slide it backwards 3-5 inches. Next they may may have a bolt on each side usually under a flap on the seat. Then there is the seat strap that is secured on both sides, only one side needs to be removed. A single phillips head bolt can secure it to the rear fender or it may have a bracket with two studs secured by nuts or knobs to fasten the rear portion of the seat. On newer model short seats there may be a "T" stud that locks in the rear portion of the seat just a few inches in front of the rear seat bolt, you have to push forward and lift up after you remove the bolt. If you have a pillion pad or passenger seat that snugs up against the front seat there can be a bolt securing the two to the rear fender, you have to get your hand in between the two seats and force seperation of seat material to see and gain acess to the bolt. Finally there is the rear seat bolt in the back that is the caboose of seat fasteners, usually a large chrome bracket, that screws into the rear fender. Care must be exercised in covering this shinny bauble with your hand during the sliding back procedure so as to NOT scratch the tour pak. So when all the hidden and mysterious fasteners have been removed, it's lift up in the rear, slide backwards a few inches and bingo you have mastered the impossible. Good luck and have nice day.

How do I get the seat off

You obviously do not have an owners manual to show you where to find the seat unlock key barrel. GO to the Yamaha US site and you can view and look through your Year/Model manual. If you find it spend a bit of time and you will learn much about your moto.

Got my first bike

but the seat was way too narrow and not very comfy. The Vulcan sold me on how comfortable it was. Power is decent too. Anybody else have one of these?Congrats on your first bike. I bought mine new which is the only regret I have. They depreciate fast and like other bikes of that size some add on's can be difficult to impossible to get. Take wet or unfamilar intersections slow until you get use to the tires and how the take the turns. It doesn't take much to start a slide with your front or rear wheels.,,
