Removeable hard bags on 2001 Deuce

Finally bought me a set of the H-D ("part no. 90394-00"). What I need to know is the best way to make these bags removeable. I have the mounting hardware that comes with these and it is so bulky I don't see anyway to use these for what I want. I have looked at the Easy Bracket for Deuce but am not sure if they will work. Has anyone done this with a Deuce or have any ideas that will help me?

The only way to go is with easy or ghost brackets all they leave on the bike is 4 mounts, the actual bracket mounts go the back of the bag and the easy bracket is lockable

Need a wiring diagram for 2001 harley davidson softail deuce

Spend the $70 for an HD repair manual, money well spent and it has the diagram. Not allowed to post their copyrighted materiel or that of the Cylmer manual that I have. I wish I spent the extra $30 because I am about to buy the HD one anyway.
They have the best detail on the parts and repair methods. Better pictures and well worth the extra...

Whats the best kind of oil to use for my deuce?

I'd use a full synthetic 75-140, as far as how much, you'd have to check the manual. I run 75-140 in my HD.

How to lower stock shocks on my 2001 harley davidson deuce?

(Rear) The HD "Softail" (R) system has some adjustment to preset the load level of the shocks (not much). You will need to have a "pre-load" wrench to make adjustments to the system. Your custom option ($$$) would be to install an aftermarket kit that can both lower the bike, and some provide adjust-ability via an on-board air compressor. Both "Legend," and "Progressive" make such kits, but they are costly and are best installed professionally. (Front) There are lowering kits which replace fork springs and reset the front stance of a bike, but these may also affect handling and safety so be careful. Actually lowering bikes is an art, since ground clearance is changed and you might encounter cornering issues.

Sundowner Deep Bucket Seat for my Deuce

I like the sundowner on the deuce, but I don't know about passenger comfort...IMO I haven't seen a saddlebag configuration that I like yet for the deuce. I'm going with a bag to carry on the luggage rack that attaches to the sissy bar Kuryakyn or Saddleman at this point, and I will be putting the bag on to rest on the seat so I can use it for a back rest. (I don't carry a passenger though). Good luck to you & let us know what you decide to go with.

Deuce Tank

all of the deuce tanks will fit...the only thing you will need to be carefull of is carb vs efi...there are 2 places to accept fuel connection on the bottom side of the tank near the back on the left side...one is for carb models and the other for efi models.
