What is the largest size tire that will fit on the rear?

Hi, Bill for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. Can I put a 140/90 tire on the rear of my 2004 savge when it calls for a 140/80. The 140/80 doesn't have much to chose from

140\90 means 140mm wide and profile 90% of width
so the 140\90 is the same width and about 15 mm greater radius

I have a 2006 VTX1300C Honda and the speedometer is 5 mph faster than I'm going. It has a standard size tire on the rear(170/80x15). What size can I go to on stock rims and get it say 1-2 mph off?

The tire that determines the speed on the speedometer is the front tire. To fix your problem you need to put a TALLER front tire on your cycle. If your front tire is a 140/80x17 you can correct the problem by putting on a 140/90x17 . Going from an 80 profile to a 90 profile should correct your speedometer by almost 5 MPH. Hopefully , you can find a tire that size that is available.

What are the largest tires (width) that I can put on my 03 FXST (both rear and front) without doing any modifications. Thanks!

Standard tires are already oversized in 03 model. This are the maximum standard allowed, probably the same as what you already have:
Front - D402F MH90-21 54H
Rear - D401 150/80B16 71H
(front: 80/90 - rear :150/80-it was 130 in 02 model)

Without modification you cannot use any bigger tire. By changing wheel, belt and pulley, you can mount at rear up to 200 at rear (see job done on the 06 softail here).

At front you need to replace wheel and to move the fender. The result is not always great when you do modification to front wheel. The best thing to do is buying a spacer kit.

Will a larger rear tire on my 2003 road king fit.any modifacations required.

About the largest you want to go without any modifications...and it can be a tight squeeze is a 140/ or a MU- . You can purchase for upto a couple of grand after market wide tire kits to run like a 180. I may be wrong but I do not think Harley offers a Wide Tire Installation Kit
for your bike any longer. hope this helps,

What is the largest tire that would fit on 2001 softail standard? I dont want to chang out the swing arms but would like to go with a larger tire that the one I have now.

Anything greater than a 140 may rub your belt and if it doesn't you will have a lot of fun getting the brake back on. hope this helps.

Rear Tire size

you'll need to change the rim to get that fat safely. Definitely do-able with a rim change. Hav a look on one of the Kat forums and u should find what rim'll be a str8 fit.

What is the widest tire I can install on my Dyna?

If you go above a 140 you will have issues with brake caliper and rubbing the belt. Hope this helps.
