Figure out why my car is wearing the outside of my tires . ihave to put new ones every 6 months

Too much toe in adjustment. The tires are pointed toward the center, I use an expandable retractable tent pole, with normal weight on the tires I check as high as possible without obstruction against the rim evenly front and back same distance from the ground and try to get as close to zero as possible. When there is the same amount of resistance without the length of the pole being changed when held against the rim on one side and brushed across the rim on the other end of the pole first checking the front of the front rim from side to side then the back of the front rim side to side you should see a great improvement in tire life if you have to lean one way or the other slight toe in is better than toe out. I try for zero running radial tires. Keep the pole level and straight as possible.
This should be done with the tires pointed as close to straight line forward as possible while the entire weight of the vehicle rests on the tires. I like to sight down the sidewall of the tire from the front of the vehicle looking toward the rear axle to determine if the tires are pointing straight. I measure adjustment against the rim to avoid differences in tire lettering. There are more ways to do this measuring but this is the only way to do it one manned that I know of without an alignment rack. The rim should be very true running when spinning on the spindle but even a bent rim can cause this method to be inaccurate. If a bent rim is all you have then you must just pick one spot on the rims and then rotate it to the front measure then to the rear then measure.

Can I put a 140/90 tire on the rear of my 2004 savge when it calls for a 140/80. The 140/80 doesn't have much to chose from

140\90 means 140mm wide and profile 90% of width
so the 140\90 is the same width and about 15 mm greater radius

Was thinking about putting larger tires and wheels on my 2008 wrangler unlimited. will this void my warranty or how much larger can I go without voiding it?

as long as you do not modify the suspension system, I don't think it would matter. I put the largest tires that could go on my 99 wrangler and I never had any problem.
however, check with your local dealer to see what is allowable

What are the largest tires can i fit on my stock 1986 chevy s10 without having to do mods? i have 15 inch rims.

depending on what you are looking to do with your truck. 2 sizes larger then stock listed. Wheel changes? 205 >215 16" plus 2 > 215>225 etc
17" with same results , remember though,,the manifactor intended these sizes for a reason. Too much outside bearing pressure will set off the complete stability of the drive train

Iam putting new tires on a power matic band saw tires are 36" and there is no crown on wheels. do I need to crown the tires. model# WB-900

While a crown is desirable as it helps tires to last longer, it is not absolutely essential. If properly set up the bandsaw should run fine, but just expect the tires not to last as long as crowned wheels as the crowns help keep the teeth off the tire surface.

Will a larger rear tire on my 2003 road king fit.any modifacations required.

About the largest you want to go without any modifications...and it can be a tight squeeze is a 140/ or a MU- . You can purchase for upto a couple of grand after market wide tire kits to run like a 180. I may be wrong but I do not think Harley offers a Wide Tire Installation Kit
for your bike any longer. hope this helps,

What is the largest tire that would fit on 2001 softail standard? I dont want to chang out the swing arms but would like to go with a larger tire that the one I have now.

Anything greater than a 140 may rub your belt and if it doesn't you will have a lot of fun getting the brake back on. hope this helps.
