First things first: Before you look at anything else on the bike to try to solve the problem, check to make sure all the fuses are good. It could be something as simple as a blown fuse, in which case you got yourself a hell of a deal. If all the fuses are good, check to make sure all the ground wires have a good clean connection.

Hi, Anonymous for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. I have a Miller big 40 bout an 87 modle that runs and welds great but wont idle down. Any thoughts?

There is a solenoid that controls the idle speed and the run speed- it is stuck in run speed. It may be a binding linkage, it may be bypassed by a previous owner.Chances are, as the idle relay is controlled through a load sensor on the control board and it may simply be a wire is off, damaged, or the solenoid is stuck.

There were a few different engines available for that model so exact connection will vary,

This the main manual

The manual for the engine option you can scroll down to the "Big 40" in the list and just below that are the manuals for the different engines used.

My first bike ever, how to adjust the saddle of mongoose pro zero-g, this one i got seem like the saddle pipe is almost touch the rear shock.

Mongoose has a manual...

http://www.mongoose.com/usa/usaeng/mtn/man_inst

Get on the web and start researching anything you wonder about.

"how to adjust bicycle seat" for example.

If your seatpost is so low it touches the other parts of the bike maybe it's too low or your bike is too big for you. You're not supposed to be able to touch the ground with your feet while seated.

A reputable Bicycle Shop would have fit the bike to you before you took it home.

Seek out local bike shops and clubs if you think you'll get serious about riding. Many members readily adopt novices for mentoring.

How to take off the feft saddle bag on a 1992 honda goldwing

my suggestion is to buy a Clymer manual for your specific bike. I have a 94 GL1500and the manual goes step by step thru the procedure. Basicallly you have to remove the trunk lower cover and then undo the cable that opens the bag and then remove the bolts that hold the bag onto the brackets.

Removing main fuse on flhx 2007?

The "maxi fuse" as it is called is located on the left side of your bike behind the side cover in front of your left saddle bag. remove the saddle bag first by opening the lid, turning the two "bailing pins" counter clockwise with your knee up against the bag (so you don't drop it ). evenly and slowly pull the side cover off with your hands (no tools). this side cover has three pre formed pins on the backside that go into rubber grommets. be warned when it comes off it will pop off. be sure to place your bag and side cover on a piece of carpet, blanket or something protective. the "maxi fuse" is the orange large 30 amp fuse sitting out by its self to the right of the fuse box. pull it out with either your fingers or a fuse removal tool.

Bicycle recommendations? After many many years of not owning a bike, I've decided I want to get one, not only to keep in shape, riding around town, and on trails (gravel, not hard-core off-roading), but...

I have the Cannondale T2000, best bike I have ever owned.

http://www.cannondale.com/bikes/06/CUSA/model -6TR2.html

If you have an REI store near you, they have a great bicycle shop, and carry the brand Novara, here is a little article about Novara:

http://www.rei.com/rei/gearshop/novara/story. html?cm_re=NovaraHP*Top*Novara_Story

If the Cannondale is a little out of your price range, my second recommendation is the Novara Safari, which has a really nice handle bar configuration.

http://www.rei.com/online/store/ProductDispla y?storeId=8000&catalogId=40000008000& productId=47968753&parent_category_rn=450 0921

Both of the above recommended bicycles are considered touring bikes or hybrids. They are very comfortable and easy to use.

Whatever you decide on, make sure you get something with trigger shifting, it really makes a difference for ease of operation and unlike twist shifting, which you accidently knock your bike out of gear when you hit a small bump.

Also, make sure you get fitted for a bike at a bike shop. It makes a world of difference to have your bike properly fitted for your frame. A good bike shop will offer to fit you, then suggest you come back in a couple of weeks for adjustments and to tighten the brake cables.

This is really important, make sure you have a proper fitting helmet. My helmet saved my life. I can not tell you how important it is to have a helmet that fits properly and that each time you get on your bicycle you check the straps and make sure that your helmet is secure.

Need installation instructions for oem vstar 1100 saddlebags and mounts.

Two bolts on the rear fender will need to be removed.
Also remove the passenger Pillion(Seat). Normally one bolt in the back and the pillion slides into the driver seat. Pulling back on the pillion after removal of the hold down bolt usually releases it.

The brackets to hold the saddlebags straight and away from the rear tire/ brake disc. Mounts with shims to the two bolt holes on either side of the bike. (remember those bolts removed earlier?) Center the saddle bags by eye. Sometimes it is best to have someone hold the bike straight and center from the rear. If the bike is on the kick stand, it will not be easy to center the saddle bags.

Next put the passenger pillion back in place.
Check the bracket clearance and make sure no part of the saddle bags are touching any moving part. You can bend the brackets to adjust but usually not necessary. Just be careful with the chrome fender flares.
Those curved chrome rear fender shiny things. :)
You can scratch the paint very easily while working with them.
Use a cloth/towel where you can to prevent marring of the paint.
Really simple to do with minimal tools. Some of the saddle bag bracket kits come with longer bolts. Use them!

My 1100 Vstar I used the twist rods from a set of Shoe Stretchers.
Screwed directly into a kuryakyn foot peg adapter. Black with a triangular tip worked great. Heck of a lot cheaper too!
Nice thing about this arrangement, only had to remove the foot peg bolts. Then the rear passenger seat. Easy to adjust the angle of the bracket by loosening the foot peg either side. Pull up, push down or bend out to get proper position.

Good luck!
Hope this helps!

Try looking under your seat. A lot bikes/atvs carry them under the seat. It feels hard to lift them up but there is usually a lever to release it just at the tip of the seat near the gas tank. Being an older bike more than likely it has been removed especially if it was purchased used. Cabela's has kits for about 50.00. You can log onto their website at www.cabelas.com. Search the site along the left side of the page it is very easy.

Hi 1 2fade,

The market in Motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson pushes for helmet speakers. You cannot possibly get good sound when riding with externally mounted speakers. Only when sitting at an event will give you decent sounds. You probably already know this. I suggest pioneer Marine grade equipment, and a premium brand of Marine grade. I also suggest you gett a Helmet set so you can enjoy great music while riding if you dont already have it.
