Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Here's a link to this great service

Good luck!

Haro mountain bike t-6/606/serial no.d240031084

Price and value of a bike are based on more than a serial number. The main variable is condition but color, tires, number of gears and type of seat are also considerations. Look on ebay for a Haro mountain bike, chances are there is a bike like your listed for sale.

I need to replace all of my faring

The model didn't change during that time period. so a fairing from any bike made in that time period for your model will fit. But try "Skidmarx" for an after market fairing.

Electrical problem , bike starts when full lights are on, turn lights off and bike dies, bike will run with reg/rec removed, what is the wiring problem and where do i start to look, what can i eleminate ,...

Are you certain you are not turning off the emergency shut off switch usually found on the right hand side of the handlebar thinking it is the headlight switch, are you? You don't mention the model nor year.

If you are in the US market of have a US market bike, many late model US market motorcycles don't have switches for headlights as headlights are required to be on if the motor is runnning.

I hope this is your trouble ...

I have a Yamaha Seca 650 Turbo that needs body work and the engine overhauled. It has been garage kept for the past three years, not started. When the shippers brought it out here they dropped it and...

If you have "deep pockets" you will find some one. Most people doing "restorations" do 90% of the work themselves because by the time you get the bike complete you could have bought one already done for the money threw at all the problems.

I buy and sell on Ebay for Triumph and older HD bikes. I also have a couple of Honda 450s.. with diligence and patience you can do this.

I live in the Northwest. or I would help you.. If you can repair the old fairing do it.. these are getting harder and harder to come by. I run older bikes and would advocate getting a spare bike for parts.. engine parts, carbs, and electrical stuff will cost you as much or more than Harley stuff. The older Japanese Bikes are coming into their own right now..

Trying to swap motor from a 2001 xl 1200c to a 1995 xl 1200 and having trouble with wiring new motor to older bike anyone know the difference?

I have schematics for both year model bikes. If you want more information, you'll have to be more specific as to the exact trouble you're having. There's not that much difference between the two engines. If you want a copy of the schematics, contact me directly and remind me of the year and models of the two bikes.

I would like to restore my late 1940's 3 speed Raleigh bike that has been sitting in my garage untouched for the last 3 decades. I can't find anything online with where to start for a beginner.

I would contact your local bike shops and ask if they may know of anyone in the area that works on older bikes. You can get some good info and maybe a good resource for parts if needed.

Google " motorcycle salvage yamaha " and you can probably find it. Wasn't there a ball bearing also?

Frame number

so according to his book my bike does not exist. The book that he is using is titled something like Ducati v twin restoration guide. He is a good mechanic but I would like to find out more before proceeding further with the restoration. Can anyone help ? Thanks in advancehe numbers on the frames and engines mean nothing when working out a model and age. In the factory engines were not matched to frames via their numbers they were simply put together. Any book that gives definite numbers for a model is full of sh!t. A good example is all the pics you see of crates of engines in no particular order. There was no need for an engine to match a frame number so they never went to the trouble. The engines were used in many models and bikes, including your era, the Cagive Elephant etc.... Your bike is probably correct, even though the book says it shouldn’t exist. The numbers for the books come from the first number to just the last number, and are not necessarily relevant for any number in between.,,,
